I read about this in my local paper a month or so ago..I meant to post about it but never did. I had no idea either, and it annoys me. I’m wondering if there is any chicken out there that isn’t injected? I need to start paying more attention. I know that Tyson also injects their meat with broth.

Good Lord…I had no idea. I think I’ve even read that but didn’t know what they meant. That makes me mad! I’m tired of companies getting more $ for giving the consumer less product. Err..

Before I read this article I never read labels looking for this sort of filler. I always read the nutritional label and sometimes ingredients label, but I never considered looking for this. It’s a good thing to know for sure.

I am afraid it is not just “some” meat companies that do this but most of them do anymore.
I am just shocked at how much all the meat I cook shrinks, everything from beef roasts, to hamburger and chicken.

Trying to be smart shoppers, we really have to stay on our toes!
