No lines here (SW LA) this morning, only about 10 people altogether. Now I smell so sweet with the Givenchy parfum I got (would rather have back all the dough I spent on Lancome over the years, but this is a nice start!)

Here (STL) they advertised this on the news so of course, there were hoardes of people!!! However, my brother was in Detroit and he didn’t have any lines. I guess it just depends on your area and how well the settlement was advertised? I read on another site that some stores were giving people 2 products each because they didn’t have anyone coming in for the stuff. Hope this helps!

Okay…now I don’t feel so bad for not going. 1/2 an hour drive there, then standing in line? Yuck. No thanks. I’ll just be happy with what I’ve got.

Thank you for the information. I went this AM…its was of course PACKED but the lines moved quickly (about 15 minutes to get to the front) and got my free Chanel lotion. DH has been buying this for years as my birthday gift so it was a nice early gift. Thanks again.

So if I understand this correctly, you have to had purchased one of the products listed, to go in and get one free. Is that right? I purchase all my perfume from Yonkers (’02-present), and I did purchase some face cream during the years meantioned, but I can’t remember what it was called, I just remember how much I paid! Thanks for any help!

Mercedes, I remember spending $20 on a lipgloss when Aaron and I first started dating…he’d look at me and say, ‘Honey, I love you. It makes you look so beautiful. But couldn’t you find a color at the drugstore that looks just as nice for half the price?” *grins*

Now, whenever he complains about my couponing and bargain shopping obsession, I say, “Hey, I’m going to go to Clinique and buy a lip gloss…” and he shuts it. Although, he did finally compliment the bargain shopping Saturday night: he went over to a buddy’s house for a guys’ night, and wanted to take some food. He grabbed a few bags of Chex Mix from my stash from the sale at Pick not too long ago and said, “Honey…I’m glad you coupon! Now I can take fun stuff over for guys night and not worry about spending a fortune at the store.”

I think I’m going to go for the Calvin Klein Euphoria stuff…I’ve been itching to try that scent, and this might be a nice, subtle way to do it.

One thing to just point out is this: *steps on soapbox* this is a giveaway for those who have actually MADE a purchase at these retailers, from what I understood from the press releases. So along the same vein as the “use ethics when couponing” post Mercedes mentioned a few days ago, I must stress…

Be honest – if you didn’t purchase during the years mentioned, you aren’t entitled to a free item.

That being said…WHOO HOO! I saw this on ShopTalk on JSonline on Thursday last week. I was a major Clinique devotee all through high school and college, so I can’t wait to say: “Hey, I’d like a freebie!”

Thank you for posting this! I just read in the first release the list of free items. Some of them are small but they are the regular size. Who doesn’t love FREE designer items!!!
