I did two things to improve my success (and the clerks' attitudes) at WAG's: I became familiar with the clerks ... and I check out at the Cosmetics counter! There's (almost) never a line, and they told me that they actually get some kind of bonus/premium/credit if they check out the HBA specials at that register. They are happy, which makes me happy ... and they'll take the time to rearrange the order of my q's to avoid beeping and give me the best deal possible. Love them!!!

[...] I may be making a mid-week visit to my own store tomorrow. These and the Johnson’s Baby products are great for donating. Then I can use both $10 RRs I get from both deals to lower my out of pocket next week when I buy the Huggies Diapers. Don’t forget to check the rest of weekly Walgreens deals here.
Furious - I'm in Glendale, AZ. I feel your pain. I believe the issue is with the district manager. I've run into the same issue. I have also been turned away for IPs. I did receive a call back from the DM who explained to me that there were individuals who were causing issues, defrauding the stores with xeroxed coupons. One bad person ruins it for the rest of us!

Just out of curiousity, was the Ritz cracker in the 01/25 insert? I looked again this morning but I didn't see it. :(

Hi Furious,

What a frustration overall experience you had to go through. Unfortunately there will always be apples that spoil the whole barrel. but at least you know that this is a store to skip from now on. I think a lot of us have some of those too.

I just got off the phone with customer care for Walgreens for Mesa, Arizona. FYI, anyone who lives in Mesa near the Walgreen off of Main St./Horn DO NOT GO THERE. Customer care has no control over this store for whatever reason. For some reason this store is under their own special rule of not honoring Easy Saver Coupons together with Manufacture coupons (unless stated otherwise on the coupon). Coupon's beep and then it's as if no one in the store knows what to do. Either the training at this particular walgreens is just not up to date with the other's or Walgreen has now become a franchise and no longer adhearing to corporate rules which i have had a wonderful experience accepting the combination of walgreens. Sorry my fellow coupon'erz... I am just down right furious with my local walgreen!!!! But NOT all walgreens are so ridiculous like the one on MAIN AND HORN in MESA ARIZONA. Just too bad there's always got to be one bad apple in the bunch!!

YES, I am sooo tired of cashier's acting like coupon user's are taking from their pay check or something. I mean WTH is that all about?????? With the economy being in the state that it is, people need to pull together and encourage SAVING MONEY, yet we have these uninformed people angry cashier's getting mad at the idea of saving money. Give me a break already!!!

Don't get me wrong, there are those cashier's that absolutely love the idea of utilizing coupons and even compliment me on the deals I score, but what is going on with those aggrevated cashiers that act as if the savings coupon users are scoring are coming directly out of their pay check????? I am soooo FURIOUS!!!

I went my Walgreens (MO) last night to buy the Revlon Eyeshadow for 2/$4.00, my Walgreens has them on sale for BOGO and all of the eyeshadows were $6.99 and up. Oh well...maybe another time.

The experiences that I've had are that if the register beeps at a coupon, they just do not take it. Bummer. Then you start hearing the people behind you huffing and puffing. Every time I check out I wait until there is no line and then it seems like everyone in the store is suddenly in line behind me!!

I had the same experience as Mindy with the Nabisco crackers. The register beeped since it was a 1 cent overage. Does this happen everywhere and the cashier just adjusts it? Or does it depend on the Walgreens? I hate feeling like I did something wrong and also holding up the line.

I will tell you that my RR for the colage printed for $3.50 not $3.29 so that was great!

There is a coupon in the smartsource coupons today for $2 off, so a little bit better savings than the internet coupon. In my ad, the deal is listed on pg 14, to answer Terra's question.

Walgreens brand baby formula is also on sale and you can get $10 in register rewards when you spend $25.00. I purchased two 25.75 oz cans of formula (which I do every other week anyway), spent $26.00 OOP, and got $10.00 in register rewards. Huge savings for formula!

I haven't had a problem with combining Easy Saver q's and manuf. q' (I just did it today), but my beef is.....I have yet to find a WAGS in southern IN that will take more than one q on a BOGO deal. Today was the Nabisco crackers at 1.99 for two and the $2/1 coupon and they would not do it. This has happened more than once. So here in So. IN, all those great FREE deals never seem to work out. And I'm tired of the cashiers acting like I'm a theif for wanting to use all my coupons!!

I had the most upsetting experience with my local walgreen when I had a manufacture coupon for Pert Plus and wanted to combine it with the Easy Saver Coupon in Febraury's book. Much to my dismay, the cashier told me Easy Savers could not be combined. I was shocked and demanded to see the manager for I had always combined the two unless it stated other wise on the coupon. The manager also said the same thing as the cashier gal (although he did not say agree with a confident look). I have wrote an e mail to Walgreens corporate customer service through their website... please someone tell me why this one walgreen's easy saver policy is different from the rest????!!!!!!!! "FURIOUS"
