Dove Register Reward Keeps on Giving

The Dove products register reward I talked about yesterday just keeps on getting better.  According to Hip2Save not only does the register reward works with the trial size Dove Deodorant, but now according to A Thrifty Mom it also works on the trial size Dove Soaps Bars.

The trial size Dove Deodorants are regularly priced $0.99 each and you can use the $1.50/2 coupon from 1/16 Red Plum inserts.  If you have enough coupons you would pay $1.92 plus tax out of pocket and get a $10 RR back.   The trial size bars of soap sell for $1.19 and you would pay $9.52 plus tax and get the $10 RR back.

You have to be lucky to find so many trial size deodorants or soaps in one store so your best chance is to mix the products in your order.

I have another Walgreens freebie for you: Reach toothbrushes are $0.99 each after in-ad coupon.  The coupon says it’s good on “Prevent” Reach TB but when I was at my store yesterday they didn’t carry that type so I tried with the “Crystal Clear” and the coupon worked.  Well, there is a coupon in the “Diabetes and You” magazine that you can find by the pharmacy area for $3/3 reach products.  You can use the manufacturer coupon in this magazine and the in-ad coupon to get your toothbrushes for FREE!! The cover of the magazine has a bowl of oven fried chicken if that helps you spot it.

I really wish my walgreens (and I have 5 of them in a 3 mile radius I swear) had this deal (and the blink tears one) but they don’t and it stinks. I keep thinking maybe next week?

  2. Mercedes says:

    Terra,

This is a month long deal that ends 3/28. It’s just unadvertised.

    Mercedes

  3. Diane says:

It is month long but the dove bars are only 99-cents this week. Of course as long as they don’t change their programming to not allow the trial size then it would still be a money maker on those all month.

  4. zoeysmom says:

On the Reach toothbrush, if you look at your receipt it actually says prevent toothbrush when they ring up the crystal clear. I believe this is going to be a package change situation on this toothbrush.

  5. Stacey says:

Sweet deals! I did the .99 regular bars of soap, but mistakenly bought 9, and with the use of a $8 RR, I pretty much just broke even! But free soap though! :o )

Hoping to try with the deoderant!

And great tip for the Reach tbrushes! I’ve been getting them free using my $1 reach insert coupons, but every store but one has only allowed me to buy one at a time! That has been for any coupon I have more than one of, saying that the coupons say “Limit one per purchase!” Well, we know what that means, but apparently the ones around here are cracking down and saying you can’t use 2 of the same coupons no matter what!

It’s just funny to me that one store let me get 2, then the next day only one and when I mentioned that they said, Oh well then someone did it wrong! But hello, Walgreens, I’m just gonna go down the road to use my coupon you just rejected and your store is losing a bigger sale!

  6. CJ says:

Was the Dove coupon a regional coupon? Ive looked all over my coupon inserts for Jan and cant find any that are good on Dove single soap or deodorants. Doesn’t matter though as my Walgreens is out of the soap and only had a few trial size deos, and isnt very good at restocking.

  7. Megan says:

This was actually advertised in last week’s circular. I remember seeing it there… What a great deal – I’ve done it twice already and can’t wait to donate the soap!

  8. Shannon says:

I had the same experience zoey’smom had. I actually asked a worker about the toothbrush because I didn’t even see a spot for the toothbrushes. She pointed out that the upc label on the shelf above the crystal clear toothbrushes said Prevent(prvnt) on it. She said that the crystal clear is the old packaging for the prevent toohtbrushes and they just did not have the new packaging in store yet. In fact if you look closely at the picture in the ad you will see that, while the package is slightly different, the toothbrush is exactly the same.

  9. Nancy says:

It also worked for me on the trial size body wash.

  10. Jenny says:

FWIW–I just tried this here (St. Louis) using 3 regular bars of soap and 5 trial sized deodorant, and no deal. I’m going to try again at a different Walgreens, but only with the soaps…

  11. jody says:

I got “hosed” I did find the travel size deodorant and .99 soaps, but my receipt only must of given me credit for 4 which was only $2 back. Now I did use $1.50 off 2 deodorants. Any ideas what went wrong? Thanks

  12. misty says:

I did 7 of the $.99 deodarants and one full size and used 4 MQs for $1.50/2 and it worked fine for me.

  13. Jill says:

I’m also in St. Louis, and the deal didn’t work for me with the trial sized deodorants. Oh, well. I still got them for $.25 a piece.

  14. Megan says:

I read on iheartwags.com that the trial size deodorants stopped working as of 3/7. It seems that the travel size bar soaps are still working though. Hopefully w/ next week’s sale on Dove products we’ll be able to get some full-size Dove items for a good deal. Good luck everyone!
