Smoking Hot: $4 Pace Coupon

by Mercedes on March 24, 2009

pacesalsa

Update: Hi Guys, I have decided to remove the link to this coupon.  There were some questions raised as to how the link was obtained.  I don’t want to compromise the integrity of this blog.  However I do want to clarify that the coupons printed (if you were able) are legitimate.  You should have no problem using them at any store.

Smartsource is offering a coupon for $4 off any Pace product.  I can’t imagine Pace salsa being more than $4, so possibly free after coupon.  You do need to be patient as the site takes a while to load and to send to printer.  To print more copies just hit the back button and you should be able to print more.  I printed FOUR copies and stopped there but have read of people printing up to 10 copies.  Thanks Freebie Blogger for the heads up on this awesome deal!

Enjoy!

I don’t know if you heard about the Bolt Movie deal at Target, but you can get it for only $7 after a $4 rebate and using the current printable coupon out. You can check out my blog http://goodorfreedeals.blogspot.com/2009/03/bolt-movie-target-deal.html for the details.

Thank you for posting this coupon. I just decided the other day we definitely need salsa in our food storage. I put it on everything.

I have never been able to print a smartsource q. Not on my Mac, not on the Dell not with Safari, Firefox of IE. All day I’ve been thinking, “We need salsa! I have no coupon!”.

I have a full set of the Huggies “diaper product” q’s if anyone wants to trade, LOL. My babies need salsa more then diapers.

Is this legit? being able to print it so many times?

Hi Tammi,

Yes, that’s the limit set up by the manufacturer when they set up the software. We are not doing anything to bypass their controls.

I was able to print 10 coupons, after that it said I had reached my limit. I would like to hear from people where is the best place to buy this salsa to possible get it for free? I don’t have a Kroger or Meijer in my area but do have Target, WalMart, Walgreens, etc. I hope more people write in where they were able to use this coupon. Thanks for the heads up on this AWESOME coupon!!

I can’t wait to give some to my mother, sister, friends!!! Aahhhhh this like totally just made my day! I guess when you look at them they all have their own unique codes and pin numbers.

For some reason I also was never able to print out these types of smartsource coupons, but as of yesterday I could start printing them out. (they take a minute or so to print) So I went back to all the sites with these types of coupons that I never could print and they finally came out! ($2 Post cereal, free aquafresh sample, beechnut coupons, etc.)

Yay! I got TWELVE! Forget canning my own salsa this year – Pace is happily supplying me with enough for at least a few months. My hubby loves salsa, and since he likes to eat it with raw fresh veggies, I dont’ complain too loudly. :)

(But I’ll still be canning some of my own anyway. Principle of the matter, y’know.)

I used my coupons today at Walmart. The jars were less than $4 and the coupons didn’t beep. They went through super easily and the overage was applied to my other purchases. Subtotal before coupons for all my groceries $50- after coupons $9! Yipee!

I’m not sure if this is valid or not. It seems to be the same link that is given for the Pace sweepstakes. I won this a bunch of times. When I tried your link it said I had printed all I can for this offer which is what I get if I win again (because I tried to win again and did).

The Pace sweepstakes is at http://www.pacefoods.com/UnderTheLid.aspx They are giving away $4.00 coupons for Pace. That is the only prize.

It is an awesome deal though because you actually make money. They cashier has to put in $4.00 because it doesn’t say it is a free coupon, only that it is $4.00 towards any Pace product. We had about 7 of these and made probably $15 :-)

17 Amy March 24, 2009 at 9:19 PM

I agree with Wendy – this is being discussed on a large site that it is probably the link from someone who won the game. It is not at smartsource.com so it’s probably not legitimate. Just my two cents worth! :)

Reply

18 Wendy March 24, 2009 at 9:25 PM

Even if it isn’t valid still try to win from the Pace game. It is super easy if you enter each day. You will eventually win. They are giving away like 40,000 coupons each month and it DOES let you print it multiple times. I just wish I could get more :-)

19 Jennifer March 24, 2009 at 9:28 PM

The site did not limit the number of coupons i printed, I was shocked!! I can’t wait to go shopping for salsa!! Maybe try again Wendy….

Smartsource appears to have caught on because now you get this message if you click on the link:

Sorry, but the print limit on this offer has been reached.

Oh dear, I wonder if the coupons will work then.

Reply

22 Wendy March 24, 2009 at 9:40 PM

The coupons should definitely work though even though they have pulled it. Take a look and you will see that each one probably has a different UPC code. And, you can still win more through the instant win game.

23 Jennifer March 24, 2009 at 9:41 PM

Oh good, i went to the Pace website, but I did not have a code to enter, so I will have to wait until I buy some salsa to play. Yes, all the codes are different.

Reply

24 Wendy March 24, 2009 at 9:43 PM

No need to buy anything to play. I have all of the codes you need on my site http://sweetiessweeps.com/2008/10/sweetie-pick-pace-hand-pick-win-game_3312.html

The coupons I just printed do not have an expiration date. Don’t they have to have one to be valid?

Reply

27 Jennifer March 24, 2009 at 9:50 PM

All the ones I printed expire May 8, 09

Reply

28 Kristianne March 24, 2009 at 9:51 PM

Hmm…I guess I just wasted paper then because mine have a blank box where the expiration date should be.

Reply

29 Jennifer March 24, 2009 at 9:53 PM

Weird, I don’t think I have ever seen that happen.

30 Wendy March 24, 2009 at 9:58 PM

Oh, if you visit my site, make sure you enter my giveaway. I am giving away over $200 in coupons. Ends tomorrow. Get for CVS deals.

I’ll be interested to see how this pans out….I had no problems printing a Q just now and it linked me right to the Pace website. Hmm…

Reply

33 maryjack March 25, 2009 at 7:16 AM

It just worked for me. I printed 9 with an exp. date of may 9.

Reply

34 Sue March 25, 2009 at 7:38 AM

I printed 12. Used 8 at Walmart (no overage, but that’s ok), then 4 at Hannaford – again, no overage. So now I’ve printed 9 more and am going to try Shaw’s to see about overage there. BTW – all these printed from the same computer. I haven’t had any problems! Thanks for the heads up on this fantastic coupon!! Now I’ve got to come up with some different uses for all this salsa, picante sauce, and gourmet salsa and cheese sauce! I’m thinking Black Bean and Corn salsa over some baked haddock! Yummy!

Reply

35 Julieann March 25, 2009 at 7:55 AM

I had no trouble printing the Q and mine has an expiration date on it. After it prints it takes you to the Pace website, so I don’t see how some people can say this is not a valid Q. Everything seems legit to me.

Reply

36 Amy March 25, 2009 at 8:58 AM

To Julieann – you don’t find it odd that you don’t see the original page the coupon came from? It links back to Pace because the person won after playing their sweepstakes. If it was legitimate you could print straight from Pace or Smartsource and you can’t do either of those.

I was just thinking I was running out of my free Taco Bell salsa from Meijer! These coupons each have their own numbers and PIN numbers, so I don’t see why they aren’t legit.

Should I not use them now since I don’t want to get in trouble…..or do you think stores will not accept them which would be very embarassing.

Tammi,
Your coupons are legitimate and you should have no problem using them.

I tried using the coupons last night at Giant Eagle and they wouldn’t accept them because the coupon was for $4.00 and the Pace Salsa was only 2.99. They told me I had to use the coupon someplace where Pace Salsa is $4.00 or more.

Reply

42 Rebecca March 26, 2009 at 7:33 AM

I used the coupons at Walmart last night after the promotion was closed. The pace jars were $2.98. Coupons rung up fine with no beeps at $4 ea. Ended up getting $27 of groceries for $4

Reply

43 lola March 26, 2009 at 4:18 PM

I tried this at 2 different Albertsons (they beeped) and they would NOT let me use them because the salsa was under $3 (cant remember the exact price). I was pretty upset because it’s a legitimate coupon – I won it in the contest!!! Not sure what we’re supposed to do with these SALSA coupons if you can;t buy SALSA with them!!!!!!!!!

44 Tammy March 27, 2009 at 4:36 PM

I used the Pace coupons at Albertson’s. Three of them. It did take a manager to come and work with them a bit… but everything went through just fine in the end. With a cereal sale, I ended up with 4 boxes of cereal and 3 jars of salsa for 65 cents. Great coupon with overage!!

Hello everyone, I was just on here doing some research. I work for a Walmart, and we found out about a month ago someone was putting fake coupons on the internet. They told us the address on the coupons would be Fawcett Dr. and the prices would be crazy high amounts where the item would almost be free. Well today I had a lady bring in a coupon for pace fitting the description. She was denied. I just wanted to see how she got a hold of the coupon and well now I see there are tons of you out there ripping off many a store all to satisfy you mexican cravings. Rock on, just hope the good Lord doesn’t see it as stealing.

46 Mercedes March 27, 2009 at 8:09 PM

Hi Kelly,

I think you should head your research towards learning more about coupons. Check out the fine print on most coupons even those who come from the newspaper inserts and you will see that a lot of them are mailed to a “Fawcett drive” address. This is because that’s where the coupon clearing company is located and this coupon clearing company handles coupons from several manufacturers.
So, if you are going to be doing research start by learning about how coupons work to begin with and then go on to making judgement. The comment you just left only reflects on your ignorance about the subject.

Maybe what we were told was wrong…maybe?…. But your $4 coupon is fishy, you must admit.Still, it doesn’t in any way make me ignorant. Thanks for a lame attempt to insult me though.:)

48 kelly March 28, 2009 at 9:18 PM

Mercedes,
I did some more looking, overlooking anything that more store manager said, and discovered that the bad coupons do have that address, but the questionable ones are paid by VRYLMKT. So see my information was half truth, and you were mostly right.:) You should feel proud and super smart,
Keep clipping,
Kelly

Hi kelly,

Most of those coupons came out sometime at the end of last summer. if I am not mistaken they expired on 9/30. So most of them should be out of circulation by now. of course, that doesn’t mean people couldn’t deface the coupon and change the date. Particularly those ones because of the way they were issued. If you want to know more about that I wrote about those coupons before.

I was able to print the coupon just fine, but the four stores I tried to use it at here in my town (Meijer, Kroger, Target, and Wal-Mart) all said that it had been flagged in their system as fraudulent and refused to accept it. Oh, well….

I had trouble with this Q today. They said they were unsure but that they felt it was not legit since it was for twice what the product cost is. They photocopied it and said they would look into it, but would not let me use it. Any word Mercedes?

My sister printed these and was “apprehended” at Walmart. They said they were going to call the police on her for using these. She printed them from this site and they said they received a book and these were listed as fraudulent.

Hi Kim,

How unfortunate that your sister was intimidated in such a way. A couple of things:
First, please refer to the terms and conditions of this website, particularly the “disclaimer” section. Long term readers will vouch that I make my best effort in providing accurate information to prevent problems for me and my readers. I am however, not infallible.
Secondly, I have been following up on this coupon because I know a lot of readers have been having problems redeeming it. i think the problem comes from the fact that the coupon is a high value coupon and it usually requires manual intervention by the cashier. You can follow up on this coupon and whether it is determined if it is fraudulent or not on this website http://www.cents-off.com/body_coupon_counterfeiters.cfm
The coupon information corporation is the entity that identifies and issues notices regarding fraudulent coupons.

I think this coupon made me the happiest that any has in a LONG time! At Walmart, the large jars of Picante, salsa and con queso were only $2.25 so it was like having an additional $1.75 coupon PER bottle.
