Lady’s Speed Stick and Speed Stick earn $1RR. If you received the Colgate/Palmolive travel bad, there is a $1 coupon, making it free.

  2. Nancy Stegner says:

I went to Walgreens today and bought 3 jumbo packs of Huggies using $8 worth of coupons. The $10 RR did not print out. The manager said it was because I used coupons. I explained that I had done the same thing on Sunday and received a RR without problems. He said it was “a new thing they just started this week”. Anyone else have this trouble?

  3. Anne says:

None of the Walgreens in my area have the Dove deal posted in the store. I asked an employee and they said it no longer is running. Is that right?

  4. Nancy says:

I bought 8 Dove mini deodorants (99 cents each) and got no RR. Was that because they weren’t over $8 or because this deal is done?

  5. Tosh says:

    Nancy,

No that manager is not right. I’ve been in contact this week with corporate and a store manager. I had the same problem you had at a store on Monday. The RR machine wasn’t working but the manager wouldn’t give me my RR because I used coupons. I knew this wasn’t Walgreen’s corporate policy. I called corporate and they confirmed this. When the Walgreen’s manager contacted me about my problem she didn’t know what the policy was either. A day later she called me back and confirmed that I was right. I can’t believe that people don’t know the policy, especially the managers!

  6. Sarah says:

Does anyone know how much the Dove Shampoo’s, conditioner’s, or body washes are normally at Walgreens? They are 25% off this week too and there are a ton of $1.50/1 coupons floating around for those products. Just wondered if anyone knew the current prices on those products. I’m sure they should be very cheap or free with the coupons and register rewards. Thanks!

Love your blog Mercedes! Thanks for all your hard work!

  7. Mercedes says:

    Sarah
You can find out the prices on the walgreens website.

The trial size deodorants aren’t generati by red anymore. Last time I heard trial soaps were working but who knows for how long.

  9. Mary says:

The link for the Sambucol printable appears to be no longer working

  10. Tawnia says:

I have tried to use the Register Rewards with manufacturing coupons without success. I have been told by three corporate representatives, one branch manager, and one store manager that it violates the Register Rewards program rules. Today in the mail I also got it in writing with an apology. I am glad to hear that is works for some of you, but the Register Rewards are not to be used with manufacturing coupons. If you look on the Register Rewards it says “…Register Rewards are not to be combined with any other offers…” this includes the manufacturing coupons.

  11. Jenna says:

i love your deal ideas, but i don’t understand how you can “stack” coupons and get more savings. i tried to use two coupons tonight on a purchase, the cashier said she didn’t think they could do it, but tried for me and it was rejected. am i missing something, or does this only work with certain items/coupons? please help!!

    • Mercedes says:

Hi Jenna, You can stack one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon at Walgreens. Coupon in the sales circular and easysaver rebate book are considered store coupons. As a general rule always hand the manufacturer coupons first and then the Walgreens coupons.

  12. Carol says:

What is the all you magazine I keep seeing listed in the Walgreens deals?

    —–Mercedes Here—-
The All You magazine is a magazine sold at Walmart that usually has a lot of nice value coupons.

  13. fran says:

Hi ladies, It’s a shame some of you are having such a hard time at Walgreens. I went today and I was so happy when I left. I did the Huggies deal (bought 5 Wipes @ $6.00 each, paid $5.00, got $10.00 RR). I did the Dove deal (they only had 6 3.15 oz. bars, so I asked the guy manager, who just so happens to have my name, if I could get a 2-pack and have him ring up the 6, then scan 2 more of the 6 and give me the 2 pk. so I could get my $10.00 RR). I also had a raincheck from last week, since they were out of them. Fran gave me that raincheck last week, but only $.99 for 3. Guess what, he rang up 8 @ $.99 each. I did get the $10.00 RR. I also got 8 Fructis, 4 Colgate Total, 4 Blue Diamond Almonds, 3 Sambucol, 2 boxes South Beach bars, 1 Irish Spring BW, got Free RR (I rolled it over, but never got another free one- oh well! Oh, and I got 1 Glade Freshener thing (that’s all they had left. OOP $15.31, $144.49 in total savings. I was telling the manager Fran and the Beauty Advisor how so many people are so against Walgreens, but they have always been so nice to me. I hope you ladies can find some nice people like I have at my Walgreens in N.J. I even asked them to put 8 Dove aside for me for next week. Phyllis said she will put them aside when they come in. Aren’t they great. One more thing, I read somewhere that supermarkets take other stores RRs. I had asked about this before at Acme, but I never did it, so today I put it to the test. I asked the manager, who is really nice to me, if I could use them. He said “yes” as long as it was a manufacturer’s coupon and not a store coupon. Remember those 2 $10.00 RRs from Walgreens? Yep, I used them at Acme. It was a great shopping day today. Happy shopping and get lots of bargains. Thanks Mercedes for letting me share.

  14. Linda Ruffin says:

The Walgreens ad for this week = Re the sale on Dove products – The register rewards for purchasing 8 items was $8 not $10, as was stated in he grocery weekly preview.

  15. Tammi says:

I’ve had issues to with redeeming my register rewards, but now I’ve found out that my local grocery store will take them so I just do the deals at Walgreens and use the RRs to buy groceries.

  16. DG says:

I have not had good Walgreens experience. The cashiers and managers at the Walgreens where I live are rude when you hand them coupons and make snotty remarks. One manager refused to take my manufacturers coupon on Glade buy 1 get 1 free. I wish I knew where to complain about their customer service.

  17. Kim says:

I have another nice deal to add. On the back page of the Walgreen’s ad, there’s a buy 3 of Reach Ultraclean/Listerine for $9, get $6RR. Plus in the 3/15 insert, there were 3 qs for the very same products and one was a buy 3, get $3 off(you have to buy one toothbrush, one floss and one 500ml bottle of listerine for the 3/$3 q), so that makes them free with RR.

  18. Jenna says:

Carol, I have wondered what the All You Magazine is as well. Ironically when looking at Walmart’s free samples for this week, I noticed they are offering a free trial issue currently. Here is the link if you want to check it out: http://instoresnow.walmart.com/enhancedrendercontent_ektid46010.aspx
Does anyone else know of any good deals on getting this magazine?

Mercedes, Thank you so much for responding to my question. I greatly appreciate it and am learning so much from all of you!

  19. Amy says:

I have a question. I went to walgreens this weekend and I already had $10 RR. I was going to buy some items, including a few items that would give me $6 in RR . The cashier said that I could use my $10 RR but, the computer would read that I had paid with RR and not give me the register rewards for my current purchase. Is this true or do you know? I appreciate your help. I am new to using RR.
    Thank you

  20. Denise says:

I went to walgreens for the great Rimmel sale. I picked up two face primers, and proceeded to check out. I had a $1 off coupon, and since I used the coupon I did not get the 2nd one free. So instead of paying $6.50 for two I paid $14. I didn’t notice till I left, but am definetly taking them back.

  21. Aimee says:

I tried 2 different Walgreens and they wouldn’t accept the free Rimmel Mascara coupon. Both Walmarts where I live shelves are empty almost like they pulled them off the shelf. I spoke to a manager at Walmart, but didn’t really get much from him other than they are only getting a limited quantity in of those and to keep checking back.
