Are you planning on having a cookout this Memorial Day weekend?  Save money with these low cost recipe ideas from All You magazine.  How about making your own ice cream treats to share with guests: shake out this recipe for homemade ice cream sandwiches.

Two days ago the House passed a bill to control the many fees charged by credit card companies Consumer Reports Money Blog explains how this bill also has a positive impact of gift cards.

I know many of you have problems printing coupons I share on your computer.  Here’s a quick tutorial to help you solve the most common culprit.

As much as it is fun to save money by using coupons, the truth is you won’t be able to gain control of your finances unless you gain control of your budget.  I am followig with great interest the many topics the  series Budgeting 101 by Northern Cheapskate has been covering.

I also really enjoyed this post by Trent from the Simple Dollar about the Advantages of Spending Less.  I agree with him that frugal tactics have a quicker impact on your bottom line than trying to earn more money.  at the same time, you can only cut your expenses by so much, so trying to earn more is a practice that should not be overlooked.

Thanks for the bloggy love link to my post on the coupon printing tutorial. I am dancing with glee from all the coupons I can now print, that before gave me the “Please wait…” message. Woo hoo! Who knew that just changing two little letters would make the dang things print.
