Woah! Here’s a huge moneymaker deal to liven up Memorial Day weekend: CVS has a weekly deal going on when you buy 2 Neutrogena sun care or sunless tanning 0.47-6.7 oz, you get $10 extra care bucks back.  The limit on this deal is one per card. It’s being reported that Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 55 1 ounce is working on this deal.  This small tube sells for $1.99 each.  Buy two and pay $3.98 plus tax out of pocket and get $10 ECBs back!!

Thanks to reader Andrea for alerting me to this.

I just ran out and could not find this size. Is it with the suncare or trial sizes?

    Tatiana,

Both are great places to look for this. Also look around special displays. Finally it is aso possible your store doesn’t have it. There’s been many times I have gone on the hunt for this special products at CVS just to learn my store doesn’t carry that size/product.

In our CVS, it was located near the front of the cosmetic section where they display newer beauty items, in a large cylinder type container.

I have quite a few CVSs in my area, so I tried two of them today. NEITHER had this product in any section – new beauty care, trial sizes, registers, etc. Oh well… the sale still goes on for the rest of the week so I’ll try other stores in a few days. Hope to roll these ECBs to get the Thermacare deal and more ECBs…

I found them in the cosmetics section in a basket. They were thrown in with other beauty item like loose lip gloss. They were not with the other sunscreen. Hope that helps others find them!

I checked 7 different stores in AZ and never found them. Several stores thought I was up to up something and started following me, 1 store actually asked what I was looking for. :)

Tracy- should’ve told them, “That’s for me to know, and you to find out when I check out- with a big ol’ grin on my face!” LOL!

I looked all over at my CVS & was about to give up, but then I found them on the bottom shelf endcap of a display near the cosmetics! They were in a small clear plastic container. I snagged 2 & the $10 ecb did print! :) Yippee! I am in central VA. Hope this helps-good luck to everyone!

Found mine in the travel size section. It was on the top shelf, above the bins, in a clear plastic container made to look like one of those “olde tyme” round apothecary jars with a diagonal opening on the side. I couldn’t believe it, but the deal worked! And so did my BOGO Sobe coupon with the BOGO sale — I’ve never tried this before and am so excited. REALLY LOVE CVS!

I found them in 2 stores: one was an end-aisle display in a clear plastic container (among other Neutrogena products); the other store had them along the cosmetics aisle, but still in the clear plastic container. Bought 2: $10 ECBs printed! Yipee! THANK YOU FOR THIS DEAL!

CVS flyer states: prices starting at $7.35. Although the deal might work, it is not the store’s intent to give you $10 for spending $4. Hopefully they will find this error and correct it before they lose more money. I am not going to try this deal.

It worked for me in Tampa, FL. Thank you.

  21. Jane Says:

I do not think this is an ethical deal since the ad states prices start at $7.35. It’s these kinds of things that make CVS do less and less Extra Bucks deals.

    Mercedes Reply:

    Hi Jane and Stacy,

But the size is also within the size range specified in the ad. So, really there’s support for both sides of this argument.

    Jane and Stacy-
I personally think that CVS and Neutrogena are 100% aware of the “hidden deal”. Hidden deals like this increase the online chatter about the stores and increase foot traffic into the stores.
They TOTALLY know what they are doing-it’s all marketing.
If they didn’t want it to work they wouldn’t have set the UPCs to work.

Looked again and still can’t find it. Darn! Oh well, I still had a great day at CVS. The “magic coupon machine” printed me a $10 off $50 purchase coupon. So I got about $70 worth of stuff for $16+ and got $18+ back in ECB. I have one more store I can try to find the nutragena at.

I looked for them for a few minutes and then asked the cashier if they had them. She said no and walked away. I found them on a bottom shelf by the makeup area in a plastic bin. when cashing out the cashier goes wait can i see your extra bucks again, looked and then said wow that is the biggest glitch I have ever seen. I said oh ok have a great day. lol
