WA is NOT doing doubles in our area AGAIN :( Ive been to two and asked in person and a friend has called several and NONE in our area are participating. The three of us friends will be writing letters to Corporate about our disapointment in the inconsistencies with Corp announcements and the local ads. Its super sad, cause our Kmart gets NO business.

yeah I don't get it when ppl try to pull that copy coupons things I saw a few and they look all blurry and nothing like originals my CVS lady said well I'll take these even if I get in trouble because they were copied, lol I had to tell her No they werent they were printed NOT copied. I explained to her a few ways to spot the difference and She said thanks for me telling her the difference.

My online ad is showing the double coupons deal and for one I am thankful for the new limit my closest k-mart is about 15 mins away ok so not far right BUT when I have to share the car with hubby who works an hour away in the other direction and during most the time when K-mart is open, its very fusterating to go and find only 15-20% of my shopping list and we aren't even talking about things on sale!

Happy savings everyone :-)

I believe that it means, copies from a copy machine, like if you went to kinko's and ran off 15 copies of an internet printed coupon from home ;) NOT ADVISED! You'll get in big trouble for that one!

Just a warning that you should check your local Kmart ad BEFORE going, because there are some conflicting messages online...right now my Kmart ad online doesnt have the doubler message in it, but maybe the physical ad on sunday will...hard to know!

Just a fast question so when they say
*Does not include copies of manufacturer coupons

Does that mean printed copies?? like the beloved internet coupons we get. or am just understanding this wrong and it means 'copies' like from a copy machine.
Thanks

I haven't actually done the double coupons for awhile because of no time but the 10 coupon limit is a real bummer to me because I have to drive quite a bit to get to a Kmart...so not worth it if I can't do more than 10 coupons!

I can see how that will help eliminate people clearing the shelves...so good and bad.

I got an email from Kmart and all Virginia stores will be participating!
Below is the response I got about printable coupons...
Kmart's Print-at-Home Internet Coupon Acceptance Policy:
Effective March 1, 2009 , Kmart will accept industry-standard, secure
print-at-home coupons. This will provide additional benefits and
incentives to our customers to help them save their money at Kmart.
Kmart can only accept print-at-home coupons if they scan properly at
checkout. Legitimate printable coupons are delivered using special
software designed to print a properly rendered barcode on the coupon and
limit the number of coupons printed. If the coupon dos not scan properly
it cannot be accepted Kmart will not accept coupons for more than about
75% of a product's value. For example, a $2 off coupon for a product
that sells for $2.25 is unlikely to be legitimate. If there are
exceptions, Kmart is usually provided advance notice by the
manufacturer. Coupons will be rejected if they appear distorted or
blurry, altered in any way, or are obvious duplicates. Kmart will not
accept " FREE product" (no purchase required) print-at-home coupons. It
is currently an industry practice not to produce print-at-home
manufacturer's coupons for free product. Buy-one-get-one-free coupons
and other values that have a purchase requirement are acceptable.

I have to say that I'm not bothered by the limit. The first few months I was having a very difficult time with everything doubling correctly. This last month I started a new strategy. I did smaller transactions. I did all of my "free" after q items first, that way I knew I should only be paying tax. The second transaction was anyting that was a quarter after q. That way it was easy to count. The third was everything else. I just go out to my car and back in. I have never had a problem with them saying anything. The other thing to keep in mind. Read the fine print of the actual ads. Remember the ads are printed weeks in advance and just like IP q's it took several weeks for the ads to catch up with the new policies. If the ads say 25 then the store will have to honor the print ads regardless of corporate policy.

@Stephanie: Last time it was on the rules that they weren't accepting internet coupons. Apparently they will accept them this time!

Yes, it means that if something costs $1.50, and you use a $1/1 coupon, the coupon will be worth $1.50 instead of $2.00.

Couple questions. Last time my Kmart cashier said they wouldn't take internet Q's. Anyone else have that problem? Also, what does "Doubled up to current retail price of a single item" mean? Does that mean if I buy a $1.50 item and have a coupon for $1 off then they will only take $1 off, or the whole $1.50? I'm confused...
