The Best Deals at Walgreens 6/7-6/13

by Mercedes on June 6, 2009

walgreens

The deals are Walgreens are super slow this week.  Not to be selfish but it’s OK with me, since it means I can put my shopping efforts towards Kmart Double coupon days.  If you don’t have a Kmart though, this is a good week to take it easy and I hope you didn’t have any register rewards expiring this week.

Don’t understand any of the lingo I used? Please check my FAQ page for help.

Seems like the deals are getting slower and slower…that’s ok with me though…I’m finished with Wags. My store has made it SO difficult to use coupons.

Have a polite conversation with the manager about your issues. If his store continues to give you grief over legitimate coupons, talk to the corporate office. You’re a woman, so let’s hear you roar!

They have Oscar Mayer Bacon at $3.99 and BOGO. There is an ip for $1.00 off 2. This makes it $2.99 for 2 packages of bacon.

Hi Mirian,

Yes the Easysaver catalog has been gone since the beginning of May. Right now all Walgreens is offering is the register rewards program.

I had a 2.25 Ecotrin coupon and my local Walgreen’s refused to honor it because it was 25 cents more than the item. I asked them to adjust the price and the manager even refused to adjust. I am not happy with Walgreen’s at the moment.

I managed to slip a couple of $2.25 coupons through, but after I went to many other stores, I realized that I was just lucky. I’m bummed that they won’t adjust coupons. I talked to a few managers.

Just went to Walgreens and used their 2.00 off Listerine coupon from their ad and my coupon for 2.00 off Listerine from 03/15 SS and got 7 of them for a little over a dollar. If you try this use your manufacturer’s coupons first before scanning their in store ad coupon.

I also have gotten a little grief at a nearby Walgreens. I am fortunate, however, to have several Walgreens around me. Just try another store if you have that option. I need never go back to that particular store. Manager was awful.

Gillette Shampoo or Body Wash on sale for $1.59
Buy 2 and Earn $3 RR
-$1.25 MQ from Fiesta coupon booklet or
- $1/1 MQ from the 6/7 P&G
Final Cost = As low as $.68 plus tax! and Earn a $3 Register Reward
$2.26 Money Maker! CHA CHING

P.s. even if you don’t have a coupon, you would spend $3.18 plus tax and get a $3 Register Reward. So total cost for 2 shampoos after RR would be .09/each.

The dove coupon for a dove facial product (6/7 P&G) will work for a two pack of Dove beauty bars. If you buy 8 Dove products this week you get a $10.00 RR. My cashier didn’t want to do it, but the manager said thet if the coupon scanned it was just fine. She was just worried because this store didn’t carry the pictured item. But it clearly said any facial product. It made them almost free after RR. I then bought the Fusion razor using the $4/1 coupon from 6/7 as well as two boxes of Playtex using two $1/1 and got and additional $4.50 RR.

Which Carmex is part of the RR promotion? The single round containers of Carmex were $1.59 at my store, which didn’t seem right for a $2 RR, so I bought the tubes 3-pack which was $2.99, and it did NOT print the RR. Maybe the $1.59 one was right after all! Where can I find the monthly promotions on the Walgreens website? Like a picture of a which one to buy!

Hi Michelle,

That’s the problem with Walgreens right now. It doesn’t have an in-store or website place to find out about the monthly deals. My best advice is to check your store tags but even then you know stores are not always properly tagged. I have not checked out this Carmex deal myself but saw it posted on Slickdeals.

Hi Michelle,

I found out that the RR is specifically for the Carmex Moisture Plus.
Hope that helps,
