Blogher Recap and Fun Giveaway

As I mentioned in previous posts, I spent this past weekend taking part of the Blogher conference.  First, I want to thank my sponsor Walmart for the wonderful opportunity.  Their generosity allowed me to connect with other bloggers and learn more about blogging in the process.  Walmart also spoiled Blogher attendants with the opportunity to meet Dave Lieberman and Paula Deen.

I can’t give you a full blown recap but I want to say that the absolute best part of the conference was being able to meet other bloggers.  And that I did, I had a chance to meet so many of them that I know if I start mentioning them I will forget a couple and don’t want to offend because I loved meeting each and every one of them.

The second best part I owe it to my friend Erin from Coupon Cravings who helped me get an invite to an exclusive party for pregnant moms sponsored by The Land of Nod and Stokke.  I was very excited to go to this party because I have been eyeing the Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair for a long time!  I really wanted to learn more about the philosophy behind their products and they had me as soon as they said that they make their products with the baby’s benefit in mind not the moms’.  As an attachment parenting believer, that philosophy really resonated with me.  Anyway, after learning about their transportation, feeding and sleeping solutions we learned that each one of the pregnant mommies at the party was getting a FREE Tripp Trapp Chair!!  OMG!! I was so floored and moved! I know second and third time moms will agree that after all the attention you get with a first pregnancy, you sort of feel your following babies are a bit neglected.  So, it was great to be able to get such a nice gift for my first baby girl and last baby.  Thank you so much Land of Nod and Stokke!
