They want to get a wide array of responses and they don’t want the same people doing studies week after week, so this is the reason for only allowing one or two a year.

Screeners usually only take a small bit of time and are well worth it if you qualify. Studies are often interesting and pay well. I got to go watch a political video last year for $100 and to go snack mix tasting for $65! So fun!
