Awesome. Sounds like a great gift for those uncles/brother-in-laws/etc.!! Will be getting all three, if I can find them at my Wal-Marts!

    Thanks!!!

  2. Mindy says:

I looked these up on Walmart.com and the site lists them as $98 and says “Not sold in stores”, but I’m still going to check it out. Good luck everyone.

  3. Helen says:

Well, all of the models that work for the rebate are not even on the Wal-Mart site, so there is a chance they have them in store.

The rebate says “copy of receipt” so does that mean I can keep my original? Just in case it wouldn’t work (for a gift) OR in case they don’t follow through with the rebate with it on sale for $50.

  4. Nikki says:

I went to my store this morning, and they had them on clearance for $50 in Concord, NC. I bought three which is the limit per household. I got home and went to fill out the rebate form and it also asks for a proof of purchase, which is on the actual product packaging. So they won’t really work for gifts, because I would have to open them. I guess I will be returning them, since I won’t need three for myself.

  5. Laurie says:

Be sure to look at the description online. It forecasts from 150 cities. Before purchasing, I’d look to see if you happen to live near one of those cities or (if you’re ok w/ giving a gift with the UPC cut off the box) that the person you are giving it to lives near one of those cities. We happen to live quite a ways away, so not sure how accurate it would be for us. Still might check it out for myself.

  6. Anita says:

I bought 3 and plan on giving them for gifts even after cutting off the proof of purchase. I am keeping one so I will see if it works for my area, if not, I will give them to people who live somewhere else. The people I would give them to would not be offended in the least that I received a rebate on the item, rather they would be pleased. I figure if I do not really like the one I open, then I can return the other two before cutting off the UPC. Either way, I am only out the tax and a stamp.

  7. Anita says:

Here is a link to the 150 cities that this item shows the forecast from:

  8. Nancy says:

Good luck finding them! NOBODY in the store will be able to help you, they are clueless. I found them in the Hardware section near fans. I’m giving them as a gift to family members who won’t mind that I opened one corner for a rebate.

  9. Helen says:

Alas, my large store didn’t have them. They are remodeling though, so oh well. I tried!

  10. Kirsten says:

Yay, I found them in Madison! But they are gone now, there were only 3 left. None at west-side Walmart or Superwalmart in Monona.

  11. Stephanie says:

I found them in Lexington KY (Nicholasville Rd Walmart) – I bought 3 and there were still several left. They were $50 and actually had the rebate slips taped to them. I was able to cut the packaging open carefully (it is one of those plastic sealed packages) and remove the UPC without destroying it. I called the Bushnell rebate number and they said that a copy of the receipt is fine (it does say copy on the form). The lady said that the safest method is to submit all 3 separately if you bought more than 1. Thanks for the heads up. I am keeping one for myself and saving the others as gifts. I have opened mine and it is a neat gadget to have.

  12. Scarlett says:

The Walmart in Maryville, Tn has them on clearance for $25 . . . maybe a $75 profit!

  13. Juanita says:

They had them at my little Wal-Mart in Algood TN and they also had the rebate printed out and taped to each one of them. They were $50. I did have to ask for them. My store is remolding and has a huge area for clearance items, but they were not there. They were in their own Weather station/clock area at the back close to sporting goods. Thanks a bunch for the info. This will work great for gifts, even after cutting out the UPC. You will hardly notice if you use a box cutter and do it neatly.

  14. Ashley says:

Does any one know if they actually send you a cash check? you know where you go to the bank and get the money! Not like menards where you get a menards credit, but that supposivly is a rebate!?!?

  15. kmallaney says:

I could only match one of the UPC codes at my Wal-Mart in IL . . . but the gadget was marked down to $40!

  16. Rose says:

I just bought 3 at my Wal-Mart in Picayune, MS. There were in the hardware dept. next to thermometers and light bulbs. They also had the rebate form taped right on the front of the package! Thanks for this tip!!

  17. carol brockman says:

I bought 3 in Sun Prairie, WI they had the rebate slips taped on them. The first store I went to was out so they looked on the computer for me and Madison East and Sun Prairie still has them. I love free chirstmas gifts. In this economy it’s nice to streeeeech the christmas budget.

  18. Jaime Gerhart says:

Just picked up my 3 in Bethlehem, PA…there were still about 8 left after I took mine. All had rebate forms attached (they were the 5 day forcasters), and marked to $50 each. I’ll just do delicate UPC removal surgery with an Exacto knife or something…hey, for free Christmas gifts that originally retailed at $100, its worth the trouble, and I don’t think my recipients will even notice. Hard to find at 11pm, had to ask 2 employees to help me, but they were in the hardware section next to the clotheslines, not in the seasonal/lawn care areas.

  19. Renee S. says:

I bought the last 3 at Walmart in Temecula, CA today. The store is being remodeled and I found them in a small clearance section next to the Garden Center. They were marked down to $30.

  20. tj says:

Just picked up 3 in Sheboygan, WI. They were not by the thermometers as I thought they would be, but rather on an end cap. On top of that, the rebate was actually taped on all of the thermometers! You do need to clip the actual UPC from each item, so giving as a gift might be hard… Great deal! I set mine up and love it!

  21. Laura says:

Can anyone post a picture of the box? I’m having trouble finding them.

  22. Diane says:

bought mine, plugged it in and am loving it. It is vary accurate comparing it to my local news station. I went back and bought another one just because it’s free_ lol. May pass it on to my mom.

  23. Laura says:

Couldn’t find them at my local store, but I went to another Walmart about 10 mins away and they had a ton of the 5-day models hanging in the hardware section in the spot designated for the 7-day models. The 7-day tags advertised $75, but I checked the 5-day models at the price scanner and they were only $50. Woohoo!

  24. Melissa says:

I purchased 3 of the 5 day at the walmart in Hastings MN. They were stamped $75 but the tag said $50. They rang up at $50. They were in the light bulb isle at my store and had the rebate form on them. I am going to be donating these to our church raffle.

  25. Barry Hughes says:

I just picked up mine and there was 2 left. I may go back for the rest but was surprised that any were left after this weekend. Just plugged it in and waiting for the display. These would make great Christmas gifts for free.

  26. Lisa Fischer says:

I was able to get three of them. I hope they work in my area, the link above for the 150 cities doesn’t work. My store also had the rebate form taped on them. I got mine all ready to send in one envelope, hope that isn’t a problem, it does say right on there, number x 50 & you fill in 1,2 or 3.

  27. Carrie says:

Has anyone gotten their rebate back yet? I sent mine off & just got a postcard in the mail stating the purchase was made outside of the qualifying period. Of course this second I can’t find my copies of what I sent off to them, but I know this is untrue. Bought mine the day after this deal went up. Anyone else?

  28. Lisa Fischer says:

I just checked my status online & I should be getting a check for $150, it has been processed, but not mailed yet. It will be 7 weeks on Tuesday & it said to allow 6-8 weeks. I’ll be relieved when the $150 check is in MY mailbox, a lot of money to tie up in a rebate!!

  29. Renee S. says:

I got an email from Bushnell on 8/11 saying the rebate was being processed. I just checked at http://www.web-rebates.com & it says check approved. Carrie, try checking at http://www.web-rebates.com & see what their receipt date shows. It had to be purchased between 7/1 and 8/15 & couldn’t be postmarked after 8/31.

  30. Lisa Fischer says:

I got my rebate check for $150.00 today!! WOOT WOOT! Now we can open one of them & the others are for Xmas presents!! LOL

  31. Renee S. says:

I got my check for $150 today, too…& I had paid only $90 for all three. Great moneymaker! Thanks for posting about this, Mercedes!
