Huggies Rite Aid Deal: Jumbo Packs Working (deal good through 7/25)

by Mercedes on July 10, 2009

riteaid1

At the beginning of the month I blogged about this Huggies diaper deal going on a Rite Aid this month.  Unfortunately, there seemed to have been a confusion regarding the package size as advertised on the Rite Aid monthly SCR book.  However, I had a couple of readers email me and leave comments sharing that it seems all Jumbo pack sizes are qualifying for the $25 Gift Card SCR and the free Huggies pack voucher.  I did a bit more digging around and other people are reporting the same.  All of these people have already gotten the gift card offer and free coupon voucher already approved by the Rite Aid rebate submission system.

If that’s the case, here’s a break down of the deal.  You are better off splitting the purchase of the five packs of jumbo packs Huggies into two transactions:

First Transaction

$34.47 three jumbo packs of Huggies diapers ($11.49 ea)
-$5 when you use $5/25 Rite Aid purchase coupon
-$4.50 when you use three $1.50/1 coupons from 6/21 SS insert
=$24.97 plus tax out of pocket

Second Transaction

$22.98 when you buy two more jumbo packs of Huggies jumbo packs
$2.02 filler to bring your order up to $25 (pick a FREE after SCR item if available)
-$5 when you use $5/25 Rite Aid purchase coupon
-$3 when you use two $1.50/1 coupons from 6/21 SS insert
=$14.98 plus tax out of pocket

In total you spend $39.95 plus tax out of pocket, but you will get back a $25 Rite Aid Gift Card, plus a free coupon for a sixth Pack of Huggies diapers (let’s assume a $11.49 value). Submit for Caregivers Market Place Rebate for additional $3.75 in savings.  That’s like paying $11.20 for six jumbo packs of Huggies diapers.

If you are buying Huggies pull ups you would save even more since there’s coupons for $2/1 available from the 6/21 SS insert and I also spied a printable coupon for $2/1 on Coupons.com.

Hi! In this post, you mention that Huggies Pull-Ups are also part of this promotion, but I just visited the Rite Aid site, and couldn’t find information to support that. The specifics on the SCR only mention that the Huggies Supreme 22-46 count and the Huggies Snug-n-Dry 26-60 count are the ones that qualify for this promotion. Is there information anywhere else that would support Pull-Ups being part of this SCR?

Hi Couponmommy,

The pull ups are pictured for the $25GC and people are reporting they work toward the free voucher. Please check the links I provided.

Have you had any problems using more than one $5/$25 Rite Aid coupons in a single visit (seperate transactions)since they state one coupon per customer, or do you come back a second time when they would not realize you have already used one?

This deal is good through 7/25, so you have time to do the deal not all at once.

I’ve used two $5/$25 coupons in one visit, but I feel guilty and worried when I do it. No one has said anything yet, though. And I’m so glad to hear about all Jumbo packs working because my child is in size 4 or 5 now. Thanks for the information, Mercedes!

I’m glad there was a link to a $5/25 coupon again. I’ve gathered all my coupons and am waiting for Sunday to go by some diapers.

This isn’t about Rite Aid but about a coupon I saw at BabiesRUs and ToysRus, for save $2 on Huggies Pure and Natural http://trus.imageg.net/graphics/corp/070309-bru-cpns-eml.pdf?EDID=YUFJV0-SPD08-0C88Y-5CBWA7-V003Y-v1. Has anyone stacked BRU/ TRU store coupons with manufacturers coupons? I have a lot of $3 off Huggies Pure and Natural and thought it would be a great deal if they stacked coupons.

Mercedes,

Can you tell me how long does it take to get the $25 gift card back?

Thanks

Hi Heather,

Hopefully another Rite Aid shopper can chime in. I do not have rite aid by me so I don’t know the timeline for their system.

What is the # of the RiteAid deal? I can only find #800 deal for the free huggies voucher. Which deal will give you back a $25 gift card?

Thanks,
Joelle

Heather ~
I have never done a rebate that gave you a gift card but I know that with the normal rebates, once you request your check it usually takes 3 weeks or so to get it. Remember that with Rite Aid you can only request your month’s rewards once, so you have to wait until the end of the month if you are going to be doing any more deals otherwise you can request it sooner but you wont be able to do any SCR for the rest of the month! Hope that helps! ~ Jana

I did the Rite Aid Huggie transaction as well. I bought 3 packs of size 5, which only have 23 diapers per pack, and 2 size 3 which have 34 or so. I submitted my receipts and a few days later, both rebates were approved even though 3 of my packs of diapers didn’t have the count that is supposedly required to qualify. I was pretty happy, because I didn’t notice the “count” qualification until after I purchased them.

I was hoping someone could fill me in on exactly how you get the free diaper pack voucher and the $25.00 gift card. I bought 5 mega packs of Huggies diapers, used the $5.00 rite aid store coupon and stacked 5 Huggies coupons. I entered the receipt information on the rite aid website. How long does it take for the information to be verified? And also do we need to specify which “deal” we are applying for? Why do we need to know whether it is the #61 or #800 deal? I am obviously a new Rite Aid shopper and when I asked the clerks about the rebates, they were pretty much clueless.

Christa,
the free voucher was for buy five jumbo packs not mega packs. I imagine this rebate gets processed the same way as the other rebates, enter your info and get the free voucher in the mail later.

I purchased 2 packs of size 3 and 3 packs of size 4 Huggies supreme diapers. I just checked rite-aid SCR account and it has the $25.00 gift card listed as qulifying but it does not list the free pack of diapers on there. I think the size 4 diapers may not have the right count on them, but they were $11.49 like the size 3’s. Has anyone else experienced a problem with this?

Ok I just checked my account and I did receive the free Huggies Voucher even though I bought 5 mega packs, $2.00 rebate and the $25 gift card.
