It’s time for another round of Kmart Super Doubles. Since this promotion started at Kmart last year in October many of the rules have changes and also many of you are new to this promotion. So, here are the quick and dirty details:
::: During Kmart Super Doubles, Kmart will double coupons with a face value up to and including $2. This means that a coupon with a face value of $1 will double to give you savings of up to $2. A coupon with a face value of $2 will double and provide you with savings of up to $4. Coupons with a face value greater than $2 will not double at all. Kmart won’t double your buy one get one free coupon or you FREE coupon.
::: Kmart will not provide overage when they double your coupons. This means that if the value of the item is $3.50 and your coupon is for $2 face value. The coupon will double to match the value of the item ($3.50) and nothing more.
::: Kmart started accepting internet printable coupons back in February. In general, you should not have a problem getting your printable coupons doubled during this promotion. However, it is always a good idea to check with your local store management.
::: You can double up to four like coupons at a time.
::: You can double up to 10 coupons total per person per day when you have a grocery/health&beauty purchase of $25 or more. Honestly, I am not too concerned about this restriction because it’s very easy to get your order to $25, I find. This new $25 limit is BEFORE coupons are applied.
Other pointers for a successful Super Doubles Trip:
- Lower your out of pocket by using this $5/50 Kmart coupon if you have more than $50 in purchases.
- Be aware of coupons that are $x off two or more items. Sometimes these coupons are not doubled up to the full value that they should. For example, If you have a coupon for $1 off two items and the items are on sale 2/$3. The coupon will only double up to $1.50. This is a flaw of Kmart’s register system. I usually still write my deals providing the full savings discount because I feel that it is up to you to have Kmart honor what they are advertising. This is something that I would bring up to Customer Service if it happened to me.
- Make sure the doubled coupon is applied to the right item or you may find that some coupons didn’t double to the value that they should. I will give a simple example that happened to me: I bought a Huggies Wipes tub and Huggies jumbo pack of diapers. For some reason the coupon for the wipes doubled correctly to the amount it should, but the coupon for the diapers didn’t. So, when the screen comes up for the cashier to select the item the coupon applies to, make sure that s/he selects the proper item.

Will Kmart double their own catalina? I had one print out for $2.00 off Lever 2000 soap and am curious if I could use this next week.

BOGO coupons doubled to two items free last time at my KMart.
A couple of questions. I know the Huggies deal was going on the last time they doubled coupons. Did you forget to take it off your list or is it still going on? Also, according to their new “rules” you wouldn’t be able to use 5 Huggies pull up coupons, would you? Don’t they say they’ll only double 4 like coupons? If so, that’s a bummer. I did the deal the last time and I’d like to do it again, but I’m not sure it would work.

I know Tanya!! I didn’t notice until I was at Kmat picking them up! Ugh, so disappointed. I took off that deal already.

Went to Kmart this morning. Planned it out carefully and thought I should get a $7 catalina with the promotion (spend $35 on certain namebrands…). But the catalina didn’t print so I went to customer service. At first the girl there agreed with me, but after checking with her manager, she said that their computer program had been updated and now the amount they use is AFTER coupons. She said that’s why it worked last time they had doubles but wouldn’t work this time.
Has anyone else run into this or heard about it? Or has anyone else received a catalina this time around using the BEFORE coupon price?

I went to Kmart as soon as they opened this morning the woman working behind the customer service desk immediately informed me that my total had to be $25.00 AFTER all coupons. The clerk at the cash register also stated this to me even before I placed my items up on the check out lane.

That is terrible! Our cashier said before coupons it had to be that. Cashier also let my mother and I combine orders and coupons-told us there was no limit on coupons. Apparently they can alter rules.
I’m new to couponing and have a question. I have a number of manufacturer coupons are ones I received shopping at Kroger that say “manufacturer coupon” and the expiration date across the top but have the Kroger logo printed off to the side. Do you know if Kmart will take them?
I am sooo bummed, I called our K-Mart and they are not doing the double coupons. So you better check with your store before you go.
I stopped by Kmart today, and I also found Crystal Light canisters for $3.00. There is a $2.00 off 1 coupon in the July All You that made those free.
Also, if you got the All-Bran sample pack in the mail, there was a $2.00 off coupon that came with it. I like the Fiber Drink Mixes, and they were $5.05. For $1.05, that was a good deal for me.
I also found canned Swanson chicken breast for $1.99. I had a $1.00 off coupon from a home mailer that doubled to make this free.
