I have a Staples Reward card for teachers and would be allowed to get up to 20 of everything that has a limit to purchase. For example, I could buy 20 packages of the 1 cent pencils. Just a thought for teachers!!

Sumi,

What a terrible customer service experience. I am glad Teri has been able to direct you to a better store. I also hope you will take the time to call corporate customer service and provide feedback on your experience. It may help turn around things at that store.

Sum, if I were you I would take a trip to the Glen Ellyn, IL (Roosevelt and Park) Staples. They were willing to accept all of my coupons and the cashiers and manager were great. The store is fairly new (opened in April) - it is clean and well stocked. Sometimes it is worth a little drive (probably only about 20 minutes for you) to have a pleasant shopping experience.

thanks Mercedes for letting me know. I just came back from Staples, and couldn't believe the rush there. I was able to use my bic coupons as well as use the 5 off 20 coupon. I had no problems and I bought the paper and photo paper as well as few other school supplies that were dollar each or under.
Oh and the paper rebate, its per household, not per person.

Hello,
You are doing a fabulous job of maintaining the site, Kudos to you. I wanted to share my experience with you as well as other visitors of this site about Staples location at Naperville IL.

The store assistant manager refused to accept the $5 coupon off the $20 purchase as she considers the price after rebate doesn't meet the $20 requirement. Even though the fine print clearly states the contrary that it should be accepted. I didn't look at the fine print in the store. Following my visit to the store I called customer service, they agreed with the fine print that it should be total price of the receipt.

Secondly, the store asst manager wouldn't even accept the $1 coupons for the BIC ball pen, again she believes the item is already discounted ($1.09) so the coupon cannot be combined. Reluctantly she accepted 1 of the coupons.

I am hoping to use my $5 off coupon, any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.

Gessner store in Houston, TX - sales circular did not have the $5 dollars off coupon. Manager was unwilling to accept the BIC coupons. Said they only accept "Staples" coupons.

Hi Anu,

Honestly I don't know. I don't have a staples by me so I have never been able to take advantage of these deals. however I know a few of my readers have and hope they are able to answer this question. Or you can contact customer service at 1-866-923-0052. That's probably the better way to go.

Hi Mercedes,
I have a quick question, the paper is two per customer, now is the rebate only two per household, or it can be more? Say I buy two packages of paper and my husband buys two, can we both get the rebate?
Thanks for all your hard work.

Just wondering if you would consider doing a post sometime about your price points for a variety of items for us newbies who really aren't sure what good deals might be-for instance-what do you consider a price poitn for cereal?

Others would include cheese, yogurt, diapers, wipes, chips, tuna, deli meat, milk, toilet paper, paper towels, baggies, etc. I know prices are regional but a general idea of what a seasoned pro like you consider to be "good" deals would really be helpful to a newbie like me;-) Thanks for the great website;-)

Thanks for bringing that up to my attention. I have added the dates when this sale will be effective to the title. Please notice that one of the rebates ends on 7/15.
