UPDATED: Walgreens Photo Stamps Deal Gets Even Better!

photostamps

Remember that you can get an additional 15% off on the kits tomorrow 7/31 only.  Makes this an even better deal.

I am so glad I have amazing readers!  Reader Ashley just left a comment with a way to make the Walgreens Photo Stamp Deal even better!  Just to recap, you can buy the Photostamps kit at Walgreens for $7.19 on clearance (down from $19.99 regular price).  This kit will allow you to create stamps using your own images.  In addition the kit comes with a gift certificate to get 20 FREE first class stamps and free shipping.  Basically you pay $7.19 to get $8.88 worth of stamps.  That should be good enough right?  Well, not really!

If you are a member of Upromise, you can get $8 added to your Upromise account for each transaction you do on PhotoStamps!  Not familiar with Upromise? Upromise is a program that allows you to save towards your children or grandchildren or even your own college education every time you shop through them.  They have a list of associated online merchants that give you a “rebate” in the form of savings added to your account every time you go through Upromise.  But perhaps the best way to save is when you register your grocery store cards.  When you do this, every time you shop one of the participating products you get money added to your account.  You get even more when you upload Upromises’s Ecoupons.  These Ecoupons are updated every month and are actually pretty high value but remember that you don’t see the savings reflected on your grocery bill but added to your Upromise account.  While these savings may not be huge they add up and when you think about it, it’s effortless savings.  So it’s a very painless way to save.

So, if you are a Upromise member and find the kit, go through Upromise to complete your transaction.  If you are not a member of Upromise yet, even if you don’t find the kit you really want to join this program and make every cent count.  Join Upromise now!

Thanks for the info. Went to my Wags today and had them scan the photo stamp packet – 19.99. So, no clearance for me.
    Bummer.

  2. kara says:

my upromise card says publix on it – does that work at other stores too or do i need to get a generic upromise card? thanks for the help + i love your blog!

  3. Crystal says:

I went to the Walgreen’s near me and the photo stamps were $14.99, too bad. :(

  4. jody says:

OMG thank you, I wanted these for my husbands 60th bday party invites, how cool! Bought a few extra for later! Thanks Again

  5. Karina says:

I went to my Walgreens and they had a TON! Only problem is…they are all 42 cent stamps….so I need to have an additional 2 cent stamp. Not worth the hassle.

  6. Crystal says:

The package says 42 cent stamps but on the side of the box it says it will cover price increases so it will print current price stamps no need for extra stamps.

  7. JANE4girls says:

if you are new to Upromise use code 2LA for $2 bonus to get you started

  8. Susan says:

My Dallas-area Walgreens has these for 50% off. Not sure if all Dallas stores are 50% off, or if some will have them for $7.19.

  9. Ana says:

My San Antonio store had a ton!! Thanks!!

  10. lynn says:

Mine are only $14.99, but I will watch them drop!! Does anyone know how you go thru UPromise??? Is it when you go to order them from the kit??

    • Mercedes says:

      Hi Lynn,

If you are already a member or when you become one just search for photo stamps. Then click on the link, complete your transaction and you should be set.

      Mercedes

  11. JANE4girls says:

$21.98!!! that is how much credit I got with them for entering just one code! of course I found more than one pack though :-)

    thanks

  12. JANE4girls says:

okay I jumped the gun, lol…The $21.98 covers the $2.99 shipping and the cost of 20 stamps.

    Mine are on the way!

  13. Tatiana says:

    Ana,

Which San Antonio store are you near? Im in schertz.

  14. Ana says:

I just asked my hubby bc he got them today while he was out making sales calls. He actually bought them in Pleasanton. I live right near Schertz though (near Rolling Oaks mall), if I see any at the stores near me I will post it.

  15. Iris Green says:

Can you explain more how can work with Upromise to get extra $8?

    Thank you.

    • Mercedes says:

      Iris,

Upromise works very similar to Ebates. Sign on to your Upromise account. Once you do that, use the search bar to search for “photostamps.” Then hit search and once you get the search results click on shop now. You will be redirected to the photo stamps website but your transaction will be tracked by Upromise and you should get $8 added to your upromise account.

      Hope that helps,

      Mercedes

  16. Julie says:

You could also go through MYPOINTS – you get 1000 points

  17. Julie says:

Also if you are a Costco member you can get free shipping and 30% off – this will leave a credit in your account of about $5 that can be applied to other orders – just go through the costco website

  18. Megan J says:

Do you have to buy special “sticky-backed” paper to print these stamps? Or do they send them to you through the mail? Thanks!

  19. Melanie says:

The Photostamps were $10.49 discounted at my local Walgreen’s, but since I’m a uPromise member this is still a good bargain for me!

  20. Kelli says:

I live in Indiana and in my city we have 4 Walgreens locations…the first one I went to had them priced at $10.99, but the lady told me that every store is different as far as clearance markdowns goes. So I went to two other stores, who had them priced at $7.19 each (one had 8 left and the other had 11) and I bought them all :-) I have one more store to check today when I go to lunch…hopefully they will have the $7.19 price also! Now I am wondering if the 15% off “friends & family” coupon will work towards Photo Stamps since it is not really “stamps”, but merchandise that you pay sales tax on? Just a thought….

  21. Melanie says:

A question on this, though- since you won’t be billing to a registered credit card, are we certain this will still qualify for uPromise rewards?

    Melanie

  22. Heather says:

Has anyone had trouble actually using these kits? The CD says there is a gift code printed under the tab that is redeemable for the 20 first class stamps. However, in the four kits I bought, I couldn’t find any codes! Is anyone else finding these gift codes printed on their CD holders?

  23. JANE4girls says:

the code is right under the tear strip on the DVD holder

    it will start with WAG…

  24. Mercedes says:

    Melanie,

You do not have to have a register CC to get this reward. As long as you shop through the Upromise link you get it.

    Mercedes

  25. Jody says:

I entered codes and ordered 2 sheets, still have credit in account,I think you get a discount if you order more than 1 sheet of the same!!! I am checking out other Walgreens tonight, my husband thinks I am crazy, that is until he needs stamps! Oh what cute Xmas gifts!!!!!!

  26. MaryCatherine says:

THANKS! I went and bought all 14 boxes at my store! I will be going to another store tomorrow, I am getting married October 11th and I can use these for our response cards and thank you’s! Thank you!
    Cheers,
    mary

  27. Cricket says:

My store said 10.49 but they rang up 7.19. I agree that Upromise probably won’t work because the total price is 0.00. I figure it’s still a 11% savings over regular stamps and if upromise comes through all the better.

  28. Julian says:

Do I understand it correctly that I should be buying the kit at local walgreens store and order the stamp online through Upromise to take advantage of both sale price at local walgreens and the $8 credit at Upromise?

    thanks!

  29. Nan says:

Just got mine in Chicago for $6.11 + tax after the 15% discount. I’ll try the Upromise too. Yippee! Good Xmas gifts.

  30. Kim says:

Hey all, this is Kim, the person who first stumbled upon this deal. Just wanted to say it brings a smile to my face to see so many people taking advantage of this deal. I’m going to try and take advantage of the 15% off discount today (as well as the Upromise deal) and buy a few more kits (if there are any left!).

  31. Allie says:

If we wait till Christmas to use these, will the $8 credit still work on upromise?

  32. Babette says:

Thanks for sharing this great deal! I just bought 4 of them for $6.11 ($7.19 – 15%) + tax = $26.24!! Whoo hoo!! Now I will have to check out Upromise to save even more $$$

  33. Carrie says:

I just came back from Walgreens and cleaned them out of their photostamp kits (I bought 11), clearanced for $7.19. However, with my friends and family day 15% off I got them for $6.11 each! That is less than $.31 a stamp! Don’t worry that the picture shows $.42 stamps. The side of the box states “Gift code will automatically cover any postage rate increase.” In other words, when you order your stamps it will be with the current postage.

  34. Check http://bit.ly/JZa2 for how you can get actual cash back on this deal instead of putting money in a college account.

  35. jody says:

Now the couponcactus, is that $8 per everytime you make an order at stamps.com? or for first order only? I did join and ordered 1, let’s see what happens! Anyone lese try this?

  36. Erin says:

where are people finding these kits in the stores?

  37. Janet says:

Not sure about the coupon catcus.

I found my kits in the photo department. One store had them behind the counter (where you had to ask or them)Other stores had them on the counter.

  38. Iris says:

Someone have any best ideal how to use this stamps can make more profit?

  39. Courtney says:

I got mine for 4.06 on family and friend day! They only had 3 but I got them! What a deal thanks for the great info!

  40. Eric Selb says:

I just talked to Stamps.com customer support and you WILL NOT get Upromise credit if you process this card. Their support said you have to be a new order purchased through Upromise in order to get credit.

    • Mercedes says:

      Hi eric,

I am sorry but your comment doesn’t make any sense. If I am a new customer to photo stamps using a code found in the Walgreens kits why won’t my account be credited the $8?. I am using the Upromise link to process my order. It seems you are talking about two different things:
      1) Going or not via Upromise
      2) first time customers or not.

Which one is the situation that disqualifies you from this offer?

      Mercedes

  41. Alisha says:

I orderd one set and they have been mailed. I will continually check my UPromise account to see if I get an $8 credit. Nothing yet. Will others please respond if/when they see their credit?
    Thanks!
    Alisha

  42. Eric Selb says:

    Hi Mercedes,

In order to get the Upromise credit of $8, the Stamps.com support rep told me I needed to buy the PhotoStamps product through Upromise. The support rep said when you buy the box of PhotoStamps at Walgreen’s, the actual purchase of the PhotoStamps is happening at Walgreen’s — not at Upromise.

Using a Upromise link to process the Walgreen’s gift card is not a qualifying purchase on Upromise. So I dont think we’ll get the $8 from Upromise.

    • Mercedes says:

But you are completing the whole transaction on the photostamps website. How is that buying it at Walgreens. I am sorry but if Photostamps is being overwhelmed by this offer they need to come out and admit it. Instead of coming up with sad excuses.

      Mercedes

  43. Heather says:

I ordered some stamps accessed through my upromise account, but using the code from the Walgreens PhotoStamp kit. I checked my upromise account and the $8 from PhotoStamps is pending on my upromise account…so maybe it worked! Here’s hoping! Anyone else checked their upromise account? It only took 3 days to post on mine.

  44. Alisha says:

GOOD NEWS! I just received an $8 credit in my UPromise account!!!! Now I have to rethink my strategy – do I order one sheet at a time (And use up the entire credit yet get $8 UPromise Cash) or do I order multiples (doesn’t use the entire gift certificate because sheets are cheaper if you buy more at a time) yet miss out on the extra $8 UPromise cash!

  45. Jody says:

Coupon Cactus and Photo Stamps. If you want to go to the trouble of opening a STAMPS.COM not photostamps account, You can get free postage and free trial and once joined can use your photostamps credit here. I did not want to give credit card info ect AND THEN HAVE TO CANCEL for it, but it PAYS $22 TO COUPON CACTUS MEMBERS!! I did use coupon cactus for the $8 joining bonus for photostamps order. They pay quarterly and need minimum $10 to pay out, so I joined emusic for the $2.4 credit.. love this site!!!!! I ordered xmas gifts with mine…soooo cute and 60th birthday stamps

  46. misty says:

Julie – I belong to Costco but can’t find the link. Can you tell me how to find it?

  47. Jennifer says:

I placed 2 orders through Upromise. I checked my Upromise account today and both $8 have been credited and then deducted. I guess getting $8 for something that was already a good deal was to good to be true. Check your accounts to see if you too were credited and then “un-credited” for your photostamps.com transaction.

I tried another today through mypoints. We will see if I am credited 1000 points and then later “un-credited” 1000 points. Anyone do mypoints that can check their account? An update on that would be appreciated.

  48. Alisha says:

Same thing happened to me too. I actually need the stamps so I think it will be most profittable for me to order multiples at a time to get more stamps for my money.

  49. Tara says:

Same thing happened to me, too. I have a call into upromise customer service. Since we used a “promo code” not on the upromise website, we aren’t supposed to get the $8 back. I tried to explain that I had “prepaid” for the stamps, and the code was NOT giving me any type of discount, but the rep didn’t seem to understand. We’ll see what happens. Walgreens might be getting their photostamp back!

  50. Kim P says:

I did several of these through Upromise, got the $8 credit for each one, and then had each one deducted like everyone else. Has anybody had any luck talking with Upromise and photostamps customer service? Let me know. It said “transaction” on the offer and didn’t have a minimum amount. I may try calling them myself and then try going through the BBB since they didn’t fulfill the offer as it was advertised.

  51. Amy says:

I have been searching on-line all over for info. on the best cash back site to go through for the photostamps.com deal. I’ve read that Upromise has been reversing the credits, so I am sure that it is not the best choice. Does anyone have experience with coupon cactus, my points, or any other reputable site that you’ve actually received cash back for the photo stamp deal????

  52. jody says:

So far coupon cactus put $8 in my account each time I used them. I don’t know if 3 is the limit or not. The cash back does notpay out till Nov 15 so we will see. It’s been in hte account for 3 weeks now so I am crossing my fingers! Also use TENOFF discount code to save even more! I have a $9 credit so far at phototstamps.com. Also if you want to ge through the hassle of signing up for stamps.com 4 week trial you shoul get $22…YES $22 dollars, you can use you walgreens code for postage there also!!!!
