My favorite memory was going back to school shopping at Lazarus department store. We lived on a dairy farm and so we could not take vacations because we had to milk morning and night. We thought that Lazaurs was a huge trip (about 30 miles) and Mom would take us clothes shopping before school started. I remember that they had huge traffice lights that were hanging from the ceiling. We would play red light, green light as we walked up and down the isles. On the way home we would always stop at Krispy Creme doughnuts. It is a wonderful memory.
