5off25-85

There’s a new purchase discount coupon available for Walgreens: Get $5 off when you purchase $25 or more in products.  Remember that the $25 is after all coupons, including register rewards.  This coupon is available Today 8/5 and tomorrow 8/6 only.  Here’s my scenario to get better than free food because that’s the stuff I like to get free:

$8 Buy 4 Poptarts
$5 Buy 2 Kelloggs cereals
$4 Buy 2 boxes of Nutri-Grain bars
$4 Buy 2 boxes of Cheez it Crackers
$8 Buy 4 Ragu sauces
$8 Buy 4 Skippys
=$37 subtotal before coupons
-$1.50 Use two $0.75/2 Ragu coupons from 8/2 RP insert (other areas will get different values up to $1.25/2)
-$2 Use four $0.50/1 Skippy Coupons from 8/2 RP insert
-$2 Use two $1/2 Poptart coupons from 8/2 RP insert
-$1 use one $1/2 Cheez it coupon from 8/2 RP insert
- $1 use one $1/2 Kelloggs cereal from 8/2 RP insert
-$1 when you use one $1/2 Nutrigrain coupon from 8/2 inserts
=$ 28.50 subtotal after coupons
-$5 when you use $5/$25 Walgreens coupon
=$23.50 out of pocket and you get back $10 RR from Ragu/Skippy, $5 RR from Poptarts/Nutrigrain, $2 RR from Kelloggs cereal. Then submit this receipt for the Fuel for School rebate and get an additional $10 mailed to you. Pay $23.50 and get $27 back, sounds like a good deal to me.

What are your plans?

Nice Deal for the Kellogg’s. I have two money making plans –
one $5.39 profit and one $2.18 profit.

I posted an $11.41 moneymaker scenario that only requires one set of Sunday coupons: http://tinyurl.com/lsyeev

Plus I’ve got a MckLinky up if any fellow bloggers want to link in their scenarios.

the cheez it cracker coupon linked is for new 13.7 oz whole grain flavor only.. I don’t think this is included in the offer for the RR (ad states 7.5 oz or 9 oz cheez it) or that wags is carrying that new type anyway

Your scenario includes buying 2 boxes of Nutri-grain bars but you list to use two $1/2 coupons. You could only use one $1/2 coupons for that scenario making the grand total $23 OOP, but still not a bad deal!

when you say that you use 4 coupons for Skippy, that means you need to get your hands on four inserts?

The cheese its on sale aren’t a large enough size to qualify for the rebate!

No the cheez-its aren’t the right ones and yes you only use one coupon for the Nutrigrain bars.

Thanks Mercedes. I am so excited, I did this tonight. I actually split the order with my mom since we each only get one paper…and don’t really need 4 peanut butters! lol

Also I am in Southern CA and our coupons were a little different, where we only needed 2 papers (ragu and skippy were higher value and off of 2).

As far as the comment about the cheese its, it’s the 9oz size that is onsale for $2 that DOES qualify for the rebate.
