I mentioned in a previous post about a catalina promotion going on at Kmart tight now: “Spend $25, get a coupon for $5 off your next purchase. Or spend $50 and get a coupon for $12 off your next order.” The list of products for this one is very extensive but it includes products from Unilever (dove, Ragu, Hellmanns), Kimberly Clark (Huggies, Kleenex, Viva, Cottonelle) and SC Johnson (Pledge, Windex, Ziploc, Glade). At my store, the shelves were tagged under the items that qualified for this promotion.
While I was shopping at Kmart yesterday I noticed that there were special displays containing Holiday themed products for Ziploc and Saran wrap. There’s a second catalina promotion going on for those:
Buy $10-14.99 in Holiday Ziploc, Glade or Saran products and get $2 coupon of your next purchase
Buy $15-19.99, get $3 coupon of your next purchase,
Buy $20 or more and get $5 coupon of your next purchase
These two catalinas are overlapping because the Holiday products are included and count towards your total for the “Spend $25, get a coupon for $5 off your next purchase; or spend $50 and get a coupon for $12 off your next order” promotion. Here’s a scenario:
$20 Buy 10 Ziploc Holiday bags
$9.98 when you buy two 3-wicks & reed diffusers- pomegranate & cranberries, fresh pine & cedar are the holiday scents
=$29.98 subtotal before coupons
-$20 when you use five BOGO Ziploc coupons from 8/30 SS inserts (they will double so you get two FREE) or this $1.50/2 printable coupon
-$8 when you use two $2/1 coupons from $62 in Savings Kmart coupon
=$1.98 plus tax out of pocket and get two $5 coupons off your next order.
Finally, if you are able to get the Sunday newspaper on Saturday here’s a really good deal on All detergent. There will be a coupon for $2/1 any All detergent in the 10/4 inserts. If you get a hold of 6 coupons you could do the following:
$27 when you buy six bottles of All Detergent 32oz (on sale 2/$9)
-$24 when you double all six coupons
=$3 plus tax out of pocket and you will get a coupon for $5 off your next purchase

just curious, i thought bogo coupons didnt double? also the limit is 4 coupons of the same item that will double right? so i dont think the last 2 in the ALL deal will double. Thanks for all the great deals and heads up!

I have had my BOGO doubled on the last round. Also, the register will doubled all coupons. I guess it will really depend on the cashier you have. I have an awesome Kmart really, I have used as many as ten of the same coupons in the same transaction and no one has even even blinked an eye.

When I went to Kmart today, the holiday ziploc bags scanned at $2.79 and $2.89 (not the 2/$4.00 like the regular bags)

This coupon is not available yet. As I mentioned on my entry, it will be in this coming Sunday’s 10/4 inserts. This is why I said IF you get your inserts early.

Just an FYI – I did a BOGO coupon on Sunday – just wanted to check whether the BOGO coupons would double by buying a product I would want anyway. It did not double for me like they did during the last round.
If the coupon says do not double and the cashier takes it anyway and doubles it the store will not get their full money and is losing money. You are stealing from the store. The cashiers just don’t know better. That is why people call them sticklers.

That’s not true. The doubled amount of the coupon is considered a store promotion. Manufacturers put that wording there so that stores don’t hold them liable for the doubled portion of the coupon. The manufacturer WILL get reimbursed the face value of the coupon.

Where did you see that the All is at 2 for $9 this week. It wasn’t displayed on the shelves at the store and the ad that shows it was from last week (the small page that came on the cover) and if you look in the back of that ad it says those sale prices were from sept 20-sept.26. I would love to get that detergent, but would need to see where that price came from incase I need to show it at the store.

It was in a wrap around of the monthly ad. There are scanners all throughout the store where you can check the price of items if they are not tagged or labeled properly. I would try that as well.

The overlapping SC Johnson promo didn’t work for me – I just received the one register reward. Oh well, still can’t complain – I’m stocking a nice amount of the glade reed diffusers for super cheap : )
Be careful doing this deal and bring a calculator!! I copied exactly what was posted and followed it and it did not work out for me. I only got one $5 catalina and spent way more than the offer above said.
They would not double the BOGO coupons and they will not accept $1 coupons along with the BOGO coupons like other stores do.
Here’s how it went:
3 holiday ziplocs @ 2.95 ea = $8.85
7 holiday ziplocs @ 2.79 ea = $19.53
4 holiday Glade difussers @ 4.99 ea = $19.96
Total $48.34 (if I had only added one more ziploc bag I would have qualified for the $12 catalina …ugh.. I wish I had a calculator with me)
- $13.95 (five BOGO coupons @ $2.79 ea. and they would only double them for the price of the lowest priced ziplocs)
- $16.00 (four $2/1 Glade coupon)
= $18.39 I had to pay OOP and I only got a $5 catalina back…I’m really dissapointed because I would not have done this offer if I had known it wouldn’t work out as posted.
I read on another board that Kmart only doubles BOGO coupon under $2.00. No one else on that board was able to double their BOGO coupos either. I can’t do the $5 rebate because I bought this yestenrday and the offer is not valid until today…………
Wendy, you may want to call the catalina company and tell them what happened and see what they can do for you. They should be able to look up transaction and see what items you bought that didn’t qualify for this

Same thing happened to me today Wendy! I am in Iowa. Not sure if that matters though.
I just did this deal. The ziploc bags that count are the holiday bags 15 ct and the large ones (I think gallon ones). They were $2 each. I didn’t have any BOGO coupons so I only used the $1.50/2 printable coupons. I also got some glade reed infuser using the coupon booklet coupon to get to more than $20. Then I rounded up my order to $50 with huggies products and free glade candle coupons. I got both the $12 and $5 catalina.
for $12 I would take the time to call the catalina company. No harm and they are very helpful.

My $12 catalina did print out; but not the $5 for the holiday ones. Will be calling the catalina number tomorrow. I am 100% I purchased the correct items since they are marked and the total before the coupons was $25.98. Oh, I really wish it works out…
The early edition of my Sunday paper here in the Twin Cities only has a $1 coupon for All…bummer!
I just called 2 kmarts and they both said they stopped doubling coupons Tuesday. Have all Kmart stores stopped doubling? I live in chicago and I don’t know of anywhere that doubles. I was very excited about the All Laundry detergent promotion.
