Wisconsin and Northern Illinois readers: I got an email last night from reader Janet sharing about this really good deal going on at your local Piggly Weekly Store:
Buy 10 of the following items and get them for $1.50 each PLUS for every 5 items purchased, you receive a free gallon of Piggly Wiggly Milk (2%, 1%, or Skim)
8.9 oz Cheerios
10.6 oz Total Whole Grain
11.5 oz Lucky Charms
11.8 oz Cocoa Puffs
12 oz Golden Grahams
5-8.9 oz General Mills Milk & Cereal Bars, Fiber One Bars, Chex Mix Bars or Nature Valley Granola Bars (Nut Clusters not mentioned but seem to be included)
4.5-9oz Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks
32 oz or select 4-8 packs of Kid’s Trix Yogurt, Kids Drinkable, Yo Delight, Yo Plus, Go Gurt or Fiber One Yogurt
The best part is that you can easily gather a coupon for each of these items thanks to all of the printable coupons for General Mills currently available on Coupons.com, Smartsource, Betty Crocker and Eat Better America. There were also coupons available in the 8/23 and 9/13 inserts.
What a great deal! I am going to love getting yogurt for 50 cents. Thanks Janet!

Hi! I am Mercedes and this is my blog Common Sense with Money! Helping other people live better, spend less, and save more is something I am very passionate about. I combine simple frugal living tips and smart shopping techniques to help moms across the U.S. become better home economists. Thank you for visiting my blog.

Just a note: Not all Piggly Wiggly’s accept internet printables (they will have signs posted by the cash registers), so if you are not a regular Piggly Wiggly shopper, I recommend calling ahead to ask if they accept IP.
I picked up a great deal yesterday. Fiber One Yogurt is part of this promotion. I happened to have (10) 1.35 off for 1 Fiber One Yogurt coupons. I got it for being a member of Pssst. I picked up (10) Fiber One Yogurts and (2) gallons of milk all for 1.50 + TAX. And get this, I even got a $1 coupon towards my next purchase from General Mills for buying so many items.
The Piggy Wiggy in Plymouth Wi has coupon book next to the fruit snacks by the sale items. The coupon book is blue and orange called “better at home”. The coupons are worth up to $1.10 each.
Also some of the fruit snacks have peels for $1.00 off two.
I came home with better deals at the pig then at pick n save.
Thanks Julie!! I think I am going shopping there tonight!
Mercedes
Thanks for the information. I usually steer clear of Piggly Wiggly because of their crazy coupon policies. Piggly Wiggly is less than 1/2 a mile from my house, I prefer to drive 10 miles to Pick ‘n Save. I do have the $1.35 Fiber One coupons so it might be worth checking out Piggly Wiggly this one time.
I just got back. Saved $75.00. Ours had an anniv. sale going on too with coupons they sent in the mail so I also got ground beef 99 cents a lb, free bread, 99cents milk and $5 off $50.00. I ended up with 10 cereals, 6 trix yogurts, 4 nature valley bars, 2 more free milks and a bunch of other stuff. Piggly Wiggly is 20 minutes away but worth it when I can save this much!
Has anyone tried the Nature Valley Nut Clusters with this deal yet?
Keri–yes, they are! So are Yoplait Delights and several other things not mentioned in the ad.
I got 2 boxes Nature Valley granola bars, 2 packs YoPlait Delights, 3 packs YoPlus, 1 box Lucky Charms and 2 Nut Clusters for $3.55!
