I had the same problem today. I decided to only buy 2 of the Tide singles ($1.07ea) and 2 of the Cascade 3ct action pacs ($1.27 ea) as a trial run. The cashierfirst told me I couldn't use the Tide coupon because it was for bottles only. I pointed out that it was for ANY Tide detergent. She begrudgingly scanned it. Then she said I cannot use the Cascade because I was buying the trial size (she also said the same of the Tide). Again I pointed out that it was for ANY Cascade item & that it would state "excludes trial size" if that were the case. She wasn't happy about putting them through. She also said that's not the norm to use coupons on trial size and that she could get in trouble for letting the transaction through. So, is this Target's policy or something that she was stating on her own??

I had the same problem today with target. I tried to buy the tide single load detergent for 97 cents and had a $1.00 coupon and was told I could not use the coupon. I have been buying them there.

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding this part, " • Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied."

When my daughter was still a baby, I was very dedicated to couponing, and I used to get those checks in the mail from the enfamil sent to my home and to my mother's home and to my brother's home and to my grandmother's home. They were all made out to me and were in fact considered currency as clearly stated on the check, not a coupon. I also had coupons that were included in all the mailers with the checks, if the check was for 11.00 I would get the formula that was 13.00, if the check was for 5.00 I tried once to get the cans that were 4.99 and they would not allow me to as they said, even though it wasnt even a coupon, they still considered it one, if it was over the value, I couldnt get it, I had to get something that was over 5.00. I also had a similar experience in a food source a few weeks ago, the juice was 2/1.99 and I had a coupon for 2.00 off 2. they wouldnt take it because it wasnt over 2.00. Maybe Im just not being assertive enough.

Mercedes,

I gave a friend of mine the Hasbro coupons to take to Walmart for me to buy the cheap games. First, the cashier wouldn't let her use the Scrabble and Pictureka coupons for the card games - said they had to be used on the full size games. When my friend pressed the point another cashier (possibly a supervisor) was called over and said that the coupons couldn't be used at all as they were "reproduced" and Walmart wouldn't be reimbursed for them. Did anyone else have trouble at Walmart? I'm heading out to Target today to try them there. I was really hoping to find someone to do some of my coupon shopping for me since I work a lot of hours, but this was not a good first experience. Thanks!

Does any one know if I can use a Target coupon Buy 4 Dow products, get a $5 Gift Card, Plus 2 Target Coupons $1.50/2, for the same 4 items? Does this count as 2 Target coupons on the same item?

Ran into problem last week. Wanted to use a Target buy one get one free and a manufacturer BIGI free, thus resulting in both items free. No way would the cashier let both coupons be used.
