Theresa,

Yes you can but ALWAYS give the manufacturer coupon first and then the walgreens store coupon.

I think the Ivory soap is a decent deal. The 3 bar pack is on sale for $.99 w/in-ad coupon. Use the $.25 coupon expiring 9/30 to get 3 bars for $.75.

The Ivory coupon is for $.25 off Ivory Body Wash or Bar pack, excluding trial size.

How do you know if a RR deal is monthly vs weekly?

The monthly deals are GREAT! Where do you find out about the monthly deals? My Walgreens never has signs up for the monthly deals, so I’m never sure they are doing it. Last month I finally got up the nerve to try the Carefree monthly deal and it worked, but I wished I had tried it sooner!

Also, I’ve been having trouble with the Healthy Savings coupons. Every time I’ve used one (like the Tylenol cold ones from last week) the cashier had to call the manager and then price adjust the product. Anyone else having problems? I’m dreading using the Theraflu coupon because I’m afraid this will happen again – and it’s not a very specific coupon so they might give me problems.

Thanks – this is a great list!

I find out about the monthly deals on the hotcouponworld message boards. They are usually shared by employees who get the tags and share the deals with fellow couponers. The best way to find out about a monthly deal is checking the tabs at your store. but if your store doesn’t tag, after a while you can trust reports from other people. I would anyway, monthly deals are company wide promotions. So there’s no reason to believe your particular store is not running the same. If for some reason your RR doesn’t print you can always call the Catalina company and get them in the mail. Please check my FAQ page for more information on this.

Shannon, yes, I’ve had problems, too. I was trying to buy 2 nutrition bars one time – $1.79 for one or 2 for $3.00. I bought 2 using a B1G1 coupon and a Healthy Savings $0.50 coupon off 2. The cashier gave me $1.21 off for the B1G1 (I thought it would be $1.50 off) & then she gave me just $.50 off for the Healthy Savings Q (I thought it would give me $0.50 x 2 off). So, it wasn’t as great a deal as I thought it would be.

Looks like the Theraflu coupon hit its print max. There are no prints available for the campaign.

I am glad I printed that one yesterday. I thought it would happen that they would pull the coupon.

Went to Walgreens this morning and found the 5 lb. sugar marked down to $0.80 and Starbucks to $2.39 though they weren’t marked down at all last week when the rest of you were finding them. So keep on the look out! Also found Charmin 9 rolls on clearance for $1.09 so with $1/2 coupons makes for cheap TP.

2 Theraflu ($2 coupons X 2 plus $2 Healthy savings ($4 total)), Gillette fusion razor ($4 coupon), Herbal essence mousse ($1 coupon), Vaseline lotion ($1.50 coupon), Halls ($0.75 coupon), Dentek flossers ($1 coupon), 2 Ponds cold cream BOGO (two $1.50 coupons), and 3 Hunts tomato sauce $0.39 each in store coupon (for fillers). Also used $13 in previous RR…paid $5.36 OOP, and got back $20 in new RR! I had NO problems using any of my coupons! Now to go back to roll the RR for the other weekly RR deals!

Thanks to all of you for sharing! Kristina L.-The Robitussin coupons in my Sunday paper both say “excludes Robitussin To Go 2 count”. KC- When I was at Walgreen’s last week and found the Domino’s 5lb. for $3.19, I asked the manager about the price and he said that they were “suppose” to mark down the sugar to 80 cents, but they didn’t feel like they had enough of them to make it worth their time to do it and if I wanted to purchase those, I would have to pay the $3.19. One other thing, I’m bummed about that Hall’s coupon. It wasn’t in my Sunday paper. This happens quite frequently! I will see great deals on this site and then, the coupons don’t end up in the Mississippi papers. They never have Target manufacturer’s coupons, either! We are blessed, though, to get the savings that we do get!

Sweet! I scored a Gilette Fusion razor (the non-battery powered one, since it comes with an extra razor head) and got the register reward. Now, is it allowed to use the $6 RR on a following purchase of another razor with a second coupon and will I receive another $6 RR? For some reason, I think I read somewhere that the second RR won’t print with a purchase of the same item? Thanks!

Hi Brian,

No, you can’t use your $6 RR to get another razor as another $6 RR won’t print. This is why you need to “roll” your register reward. That means use that $6 RR to get another item that’s generating a RR and then use that new RR to buy another razor and so on.

The $.75 coupon for Oral-B indicator toothbrushes says for Pulsar Cross Action advantage and the sale flyer says for Oral-B 1,2,3 – has anyone tried using this coupon for the actual Oral-B 1,2,3 and did it work? Thanks so much!

Mercedes,
Thank you again for all of your help in putting deals together! You have helped me save my family $400 in groceries since March! Yippeee!

My question… is anyone having trouble finding the October coupon booklet? So far, my Walgreens hasn’t had it out.

Also, I haven’t seen the Reinventing Beauty book at CVS – is that the old one? I think those coupons expired earlier in September.

Thanks!

Hi Lisa,

My store (Walgreens) has been slow in putting those booklets out too. Sometimes you have to ask the assistant manager so he requests them. I also kknow that not all CVS carry the RIB booklet.

I think that Mercedes knows more about Walgreens then Walgreens!!! LOL Most of the Walgreens that I have been to don’t know anything about the coupon booklets.
