Since I just shared Target’s coupon policy I figured I might as well make sure to mention that Walmart also has their coupon policy available on their website. This is what Walmart’s official coupon policy states:
Wal-Mart Coupon Policy
Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):
* Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
* Free merchandise (or manufacturer’s Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
* Store coupons
* Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
* Internet coupons
* Soft drink container caps
The following are guidelines and limits:
* Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
* Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons.
* Internet coupons should be legible and say “Manufacturer Coupon.” There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
* Only one coupon per item is permitted.
* Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.
I know a lot of you have been told that Walmart doesn’t accept internet printable coupons. As you can see they do. Print and bring this policy with you when you shop at Walmart. Hopefully it will help make your shopping experience better.

I’ve tried showing the wal-mart coupon policy to a cashier AND a manager when there was an issue. It didnt matter, it was up to the mis-informed judgement of the person in “charge”.
I have a feeling this would be the same as Target as well.
I work at a wal-mart, n i use coupons all the time. We do take internet coupons as long as they have a scan bar. If you come across a cashier or a manger who will not take your coupon call home office 1-800-walmart and have them fix the problem. Me and my fallow cashiers enjoy see people save money. when we know something is on sell somewhere else cheaper we will tell are customers to tell us they are cheaper at Rid Aid or where every so we can price over ride it to that price. So to all those unhappy customers out there from a walmart worker im sorry how my fallow cashier have made u feel about using coupons at walmart. It’s not right and the only way to fix is to let the main office know so they can fix it.

when it says “pharmacy coupons” does that mean if I took my Target coupon for $10 with transferred RX, that Walmart should give me a $10 giftcard with transferred RX?
I’ve taken the policy to WalMart. They don’t care what it says. They will NOT take IP’s. So I DO NOT shop there anymore. Free of Wal-Mart for nearly a year and will never return….
Oddly, my Wal-Mart will accept internet coupons at the regular registers, but won’t let you use them at the self-scanners. I’ve always assumed it’s because at the self-scans they’re unable to verify that the coupons meet their requirements, but of course there is an attendant assigned to oversee those registers who could probably check them. *shrugs*
Same here I will not shop at Walmart because last time I was there and I tried to use the internet coupons, they told me i can only use 1 and i said yes a coupon per item and the cashier was so nasty to me, i was nearly in tears.
Well anyway, does anyone have a copy of the Rite Aid coupon policy? They give me grief too, Thank you!
I was at the Walmart in Appleton, WI on Calument St. last week and the cashier told me I couldn’t use more than 1 of the same internet coupon in 1 transaction even though I bought more than 1 of each item I tried to use the multiples on. I had never had issues there before that so I’m just going to avoid that cashier.
Walmart had been allowing internet coupons, not happily, but allowing. But today was told they will not use the ones with the 1Fawcett Drive, Del Rio, Texas address on them. I was told they are a fraud and every Walmart had been informed. They were very rude about it.
These comments go back as far as last year… I’d like to vouch for 2010 being the same: Walmart won’t accept internet coupons. They used to – depending if the person remembered me – but lately have stopped. Same with 7-11. It’s aggravating!! I honestly try to avoid Walmart now so I can use my internet coupons elsewhere. They’d get more business from me (and others, based on these comments) if they’d accept them LIKE THEIR CORPORATE POLICY CLAIMS THEY DO.
I live in Missouri and our Walmart excepts internet coupons. My husband did have a problem with using more than one printable coupon on two of the same products. They wouldn’t allow him to use two internet printable coupons for two of the same product. Don’t know what that is all about.
I recently had a problem with a coupon that was buy a Craisin get free a 100 calorie pack of Craisins. The Craisin’s actually cost less than the 100 calorie pack so the clerk said I could only get the amount that was lowest price off. The computer otherwise wouldn’t accept the coupon. I explained that’s not what the coupon stated. It said buy this specific product and you’d get the other product free. The coupon was worth over $3.00 and the Craisins were $1.98 plus I explained it didn’t matter the cost because Walmart would get their money back plus a handling fee. It was frustrating.
Walmart has been a problem for me , also, as I was told that they would take internet coupons but only valued at $1.00 or under. That is not what their own rules say but I don’t even try to use any over that amount any more because I usually have a lot of coupons and a large order and more often than not, somebody with just a few things will get in line behind me- if I haven’t already started unloading my cart I tell them to go ahead of me- but if the cashier has already started putting my stuff through, I can’t do that so I will tell them that I have alot of coupons. I try to make things as easy as I can for the cashier and the other customers but sometimes it doesn’t matter what you do there is going to be someone not happy! It does get really frustrating and makes me second guess if all the hassle is worth it but then, I see what I save and the snide looks/comments don’t bother me so much. I wish that stores would have “coupon only” lines then we would be with like minded folks who wouldn’t be so snotty!
Does anybody know if Walmart accepts Targets internet coupons?
walmart doesn’t talk target coupons, but they take the product you have the coupon for n lets say its a 1.00 off toothpaste that walmart has for 1.97 the cashier will price override the toothpaste for .97 cents but you have to show them the coupon and product before they ring it up. then they throw away that coupon.
Last night I went after that Idahoan potato deal and a few others that scored me some free or nearly free Betty Crocker muffin mixes and cheap cookie mixes.
I went in with my internet printed coupons and went to CS and asked. She started to do the “um, it depends…” and gave me a long list of “depends”. She said “It would be easier to tell if I could see them.” So I handed over my stack. They all checked out. She said they watch for coupons with NO expiration dates or ridiculous amounts off.
So I shopped. It was my first time couponing in like 10 years. It took me TWICE the normal time it usually takes me to shop with my “minimal shopping list”.
Went to the check outs and saw huge long lines. I wondered if I dared the self-checkout with my pages of coupons. Since they were mostly empty I thought I wouldn’t be holding anyone up. I asked the attendant if I could use the coupons there at the the self-checkout and he said sure. Except I had just been fold-ripping them off the page as I used them. So he would have to trim them to fit. Fit? There is a little slot to put them in after you scan them. Then some wouldn’t scan and he pleasantly entered his code and manually entered the coupons. Somewhere along the way I lost $0.60 worth of coupon but I saved $5 and needed to move it.
All in all went better than I thought.
I had no promble with the ip in Savannah Ga. At first they looked at it and did not know were they came from but they took it and never had looks before after that. Now I see everyone use them.
I had a problem with Walmart last month with them excepting coupons from Del Rio, Texas. I never had a problem with Walmart accepting coupons from the newspaper and/or internet. I do not understand it, because some of the coupons I clip out of the newspaper have Del Rio, Texas and they refused to take those also, when I asked why the person could not give me an answer. I am taking the policy with me the next time I shop there and demand that they take all my coupons or they can take their groceries back and I will shop somewhere else.
I have used printable coupons at walmart, they have accepted them without grief, the wal mart by my house has never given me any trouble, however, i went to a wal mart in the next city and they took all my coupons except for the target coupons, i explained to the that their policy states they take competitors coupons and the wal mart by my house has never given me any issues and they still refused and it was over a buy one reeses (for 69 cents) and get one for free…geez
Just wanted to update here. Last week (April of 2011) I used two printed internet coupons at WalMart, in one transaction. One had the Fawcett Dr. address, one did not. (Sensodyne ProEnamel Toothpaste and Coffee Mate Liquid Flavored Creamer). They were both accepted with no trouble at all.
Ok, I realize this is an old post, but I’m hoping some of you will be able to give me some feedback. According to the official coupon policy, I should be able to take my Walgreen’s Register Rewards to Walmart, right? Or am I reading the policy incorrectly. I have $13 worth of rr from last week that I wanted to use at Walmart, but I thought I’d better stop at Customer Service to make sure they would take them. The clerk wasn’t sure, she called another clerk, she called the assistant manager, she said they wouldn’t except them. I showed her my copy of the official coupon policy, but she said they had to be redeemed at Walgreen’s as their registers would not except the bar codes on them. A little enlightenment would be much appreciated! And by the way, Happy Mother’s Day!
