Fun Giveaway: Clorox Toilet Wand

by Mercedes on October 13, 2009

ctw_couponI think most of us can agree that cleaning the bathroom toilets is one of the most disliked of household chores. For me it’s the chore I wish I could do least often but find myself doing most often. At our house the bathrooms get a deep cleaning every many days but the toilets always need to get cleaned in between.

The folks at Clorox sent me a Clorox toilet Wand to try. What I liked the best about the Clorox Wand was that it did a great job at quickly cleaning the toilets. The starter kit that I received came with a caddy that kept the wand at hand. The heads are disposable and require hand-free connecting and disconnecting. What I didn’t like about the wand: that it is disposable. I got around this by using each head to quickly clean as many toilets as I could. I found that the head provided enough foam the first time around to clean other toilets. While foaming went down as I turned to clean a second and third toilet, all three toilets were cleaned just as well.

Save $5 on a Clorox Toilet Wand

You can find the Clorox Toilet Wand on sale at Walmart for around $10. You can try this product for half the price by using the printable coupon for $5 off one available at the Clorox website.

Listen to music does make it easier to clean as it not my favorite thing to do. If i have to clean the bathroom is my favorite. Having a wand to clean the toilet would be great

I am not very good at getting my cleaning done but I a lot of straightening by every night when I put the dogs to bed I pick up the messes they have made and every morning I pick up after the cats (before I get the dogs up). Believe me it was much easier when I only had to clean up after my son.

I try to get my husband to do them!! :)

4 Christy October 13, 2009 at 7:48 PM

I make a list for my days off and tackle the list first thing in the morning. That way I’m very motivated to get the cleaning done quickly- a little ‘me time’ in the afternoon is my incentive!

5 Jane October 13, 2009 at 7:59 PM

I make it easier on me by taking it at my own pace, make my husband help and listen to some fun music. This allows us to play around while still getting the cleaning done!

My kiddo helps with some of the chores, I throw the laundry in first so while I’m cleaning the laundry is going then I can relax and fold clothes after the cleaning is done.

I set aside 15 minutes everyday to tidy up a different room

I DESPISE cleaning the bathroom! How can such nice people have such a disgusting bathroom! (hint 3 boys, one is a toddler!) I reward myself with a hot shower when I get that nasty room cleaned up!

I schedule my cleaning — it’s easier for me to stay organized that way. When I see it in writing I feel like I have to do it — and when I mark off a task I feel like I’ve accomplished something :) *Thanks* for the giveaway!

The cleaner is already in the brush-that will make cleaning the toilet so much easier!

I love the Clorox Toilet Wand and could really use some more!! I try to clean as I go as much as possible. If I don’t, I get lazy and things start to pile up and then it takes me twice as long to clean!

Thanks for the giveaway!

I like the Clorox cleaning wipes. I try to wipe down the bathroom sink/counter every day. By doing it daily, things don’t build up. Plus it only takes a few seconds because there isn’t time for it to get super dirty.

I hope I win so I can try this product! One of my favorite cleaning tricks to speed up the process (and storage) are the Purex 3 in 1 laundry sheets, with a Tide Stain Release tabs. I pretreat any BIG stains with Oxy Clean laundry spray as the clothes are worn to save me more time. I LOVE the Purex sheets so much that I bought approx. 2 years worth of them when they were on sale with coupons. I don’t have to worry about any liquid laundry spills from when my 11 yr old does laundry- whoo hoo! =)

14 Diane October 13, 2009 at 11:32 PM

I blush to respond, but I put off cleaning as long as I can and hope no one comes to visit.

My hubby and I share chores and try to do them while baby is sleeping in order to get them done faster…. I would love to win this product because it seems easier than my traditional toilet scrubber….

Great Giveaway!! Thanks!

I use a Scunci handheld steam cleaner for spot cleaning & to make it easier to loosen dirt before wiping down with a damp cloth.

17 krystyna October 14, 2009 at 5:03 AM

I do one room a day. So cleaning them up doesn’t feel that bad.

18 Kim October 14, 2009 at 5:40 AM

I try to do at least one chore everyday, after work. That way, I’m not bogged down on the weekends.

19 Kelly October 14, 2009 at 6:07 AM

The only trick I have is enlisting the masses (my kids.) Even at 3 and 5 there are things that they can do to help.

20 rebecca October 14, 2009 at 6:44 AM

I try to make a schedule and even though it makes me feel like a kid sometimes, it helps! I get a lot more done if I can see my list right in front of me. :)

21 jean October 14, 2009 at 7:02 AM

i haven’t tried this product but i do love the scrubbing bubbles product that is similar.

22 Tinap October 14, 2009 at 7:22 AM

I have a canister of antibacterial wipes under each bathroom sink. The kids and my husband are now in the habit of using one to wipe down the sink and counter area after they use it. It keeps the area clean in between my weekly cleaning.

My kids love to clean, so I make my life easier by giving them things to clean. They fight over who gets to sweep! LOL The disposable head is one of the reasons I haven’t tried this product yet, but I have been wanting to try it. I detest cleaning the toilets!

24 Jennifer N October 14, 2009 at 9:09 AM

I try to keep up with things as I go – like if there’s a little spill, I’ll wipe it up right away, so it doesn’t get caked on. A few seconds now saves time later.

25 Darcie October 14, 2009 at 9:27 AM

We are potty training right now at our house so I feel like I’m ALWAYS cleaning the toilet. This would make it so much easier!!

26 Ann October 14, 2009 at 9:44 AM

I try to do one room a night. It only takes 15 minutes each night instead of 2hours if I did it at once.

27 kenna agee October 14, 2009 at 10:10 AM

this would make cleaning easier cause i can teach my boys (5 and 6) how to clean there toliet. i wouldnt have to worry about a liquid cleaner to put in there. plus i would be teaching them responsiblity.

28 Caroline October 14, 2009 at 11:35 AM

This would make cleaning toilets (one of my least favorite chores) easier and quicker! Thanks!

29 Lori S October 14, 2009 at 12:05 PM

I try to only clean on my days off. I am pregnant now so after working all day, getting my son and eating dinner I am too tired to clean.

Thanks!

30 Jennifer October 14, 2009 at 12:28 PM

I try to run through the house and pick up clothes (esp socks!) on the floor, and put them in the hamper. My husband helps fold clothes after they are washed and dried. Thanks for the giveaway!

31 Allie Z October 14, 2009 at 12:54 PM

Oh wow! These would make my life easier. I could finally trust my 5 year old to clean the toilet- which would be such a help!!

32 Candice October 14, 2009 at 1:13 PM

I do little things everyday so I won’t have so much to do on the weekend. I always wash 2 loads of towels and this cuts down on the time I spend on Saturday morning cleaning and that means more time for my family.

33 Alan October 14, 2009 at 1:20 PM

My wife and I team clean. Makes it go by quicker.

34 Cheryl in AL October 14, 2009 at 6:03 PM

I work outside the home so most of my deep cleaning takes place on the weekend. I have found that I do best when I pop in my headphones and listen to a audiobook while I power through all of them. It is so much nicer to have them behinde me.

35 Christina Butts October 14, 2009 at 7:35 PM

In order to make cleaning easier I try to stick to a cleaning schedule with daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. I will admit sometimes it doesn’t work as planned but I do try!

36 Rachel A. October 14, 2009 at 10:09 PM

I am having my first baby in a month and would love a shortcut to having the house clean!

37 Pam October 14, 2009 at 10:16 PM

I would love to have one. Anything that would make your life easier right???? And get the cleaning done sooner!
Thanks for a chamce to win!
Blessings!

38 Amanda Jacques October 15, 2009 at 8:41 AM

To make cleaning easier on me, I put everything I need into a bucket and carry it with me from room to room. I have rags, wood polish, all-purpose cleaners, window cleaner, and bathroom cleaners in there. It saves me a lot of time by not having to run around and find what I need to get the job done!
