I sent an e-mail to Shop Your Rewards to see if my local MI store was participating, and they responded that ALL MI Kmarts are participating in doubles with Shop Your Rewards card. Here’s the e-mail I received:

Dear Corrie,

Thank you for contacting Shop Your Way Rewards.

The Double Coupon offer is an in-store only special and all Kmart stores in Michigan are participating. Since you live in Michigan, you can take advantage of this extra Reward benefit after you enroll in the Shop Your Way Rewards Program.

You may enroll at any Kmart store on at our member-only Web site, shopyourwayrewards.com. Once enrolled, sign into your online member account and access the “My Offers” section. This is where you may review the “Terms and Conditions” for the offers for which you are qualified, including any Double Coupon offers.

Through December 19, 2009, Kmart stores in Michigan will give double Rewards for up to five coupons per day (up to a $2.00 value!) The registers will be programmed to stop doubling the coupons after five have been redeemed. The qualifying products and the Reward values will be stated on the coupons The Terms and Conditions will be available at the Kmart stores.

Did you know that you do not need to make a purchase to enter to win a Kmart K’Ching Surprise; just have your Shop Your Way Rewards card scanned at the Courtesy Counter. I spoke with my Kmart – Houghton Lake, MI and they reported that they are doubling 5/day but you have to have the cashier scan the card first and I have heard through other website that if you dont have your card yet you can give them you phone number or print your reg number when you reg online and that will work too but I haven’t tried it yet.

from what i’ve read, it is only certain Michigan stores that are participating and it’s only if you have the Kmart Shop Your Way Rewards Kching card. you must hand your card over first before any coupons are scanned. it is 5 coupons a day, up to $2.00 value on the coupons.

My Kmart is an example of one that doesn’t always know what’s going on. Does anybody have a good idea of a coupon to check if it doubles – that would be a very small out of pocket expense if it didn’t double? I will try tomorrow and report back. Thanks!

Also wanted to add……you have to be a member of their rewards program – http://www.shopyourwayrewards.com. It’s free and you can join right at the register! Just be sure to have them scan your card before you start!

I have called the Naperville, IL and Lombard, IL locations and they are not participating in any event at this time.

I have an email into K-Mart to try and find out more!
