There is an awesome deal going on at CVS right now on Huggies wipes.  The tubs of Huggies wipes are on sale 2/$5.  Well, it has been confirmed that the Huggies wipes refill bags 216ct (reg. $7.99) are also included in the sale and priced at $2.50.  Wow!

On top of that, according to one of Shannon’s readers, if you scan your CVS card under the scanner you will get a CVS coupon for $2 off Huggies wipes.  Use this coupon to get the refills for only 50 cents.  What a real bargain!  If you have any homemailer Huggies coupons you could walk away with free Huggies wipes.  This is a great deal guys, make sure to price check those huggies refill bags as the sale price is not tagged but it’s ringing at the register that way.

Thanks Maven of Savin‘!

Oh man! I just went to CVS today & scanned my card & got a coupon, but I didn’t see that they were on sale (since they weren’t tagged on the shelf), so I only got a free travel pack instead of the free refill pack. Bummer!

Thanks, Mercedes! I wasn’t planning on going out tonight, but now I may have to. :) I’m sure CVS will change it if there’s a huge response…so I would say the sooner the better for this deal.

What do you mean when you say to scan your card?

Reply

4 Lessie Purpera February 22, 2010 at 7:13 PM

Well, they aren’t on sale in the Phoenix area. :-(

5 Donna February 22, 2010 at 7:20 PM

I want to know also “what do you mean scan your card?” I know they scan your card when you buy something but how do you just scan a card to get a coupon for the item you are getting>…..Hmmm?

There are red price check scanner machines at the front of some stores. If yours has one, you can scan your card and get coupons at each visit…unless yours is always out of order like ours. :(

Most, if not all, stores have a coupon station where you can scan your card and it will print out coupons for you if there are any eligible for your card. Its red and looks like a price scanner; usually located near the front of the store.

Yay! I just got back from my CVS in KY and I got 2 packs of 216 ct wipes for $3.75. No $2 off 1 coupon at the scanner machine, but I had a couple of mailer coupons…GREAT DEAL!

Thanks again!

grumble grumble, I never get the CVS coupons that everyone talks about when I scan my card! I was just there this afternoon, and scanned it… got $1 off of any CVS product and something for candy, but no wipes coupon!

Reply

10 Jen February 23, 2010 at 6:24 PM

I didn’t either, mine was for $5 off a purchase of $25. I never spend that much at once.

I just went out and the red scanner was down but the big packs of wipes were ringing up $2.50! I got 4 and had 1 $1 off coupon so I spent less than $10! Since the big packs have the same as 3 tubs worth of wipes that’s like getting 12 tubes for just over $0.83 each! Amazing!

Reply

12 Amanda February 22, 2010 at 8:21 PM

*i meant tubs not tubes :-)

Got 4 big bags of wipes for 10 bucks! Sweet! Thanks Mercedes!!!

All the Huggies Wipes all types (gentle, natural care, regular 184 count, 216 count ) were ringing up 2 for 5.00 with CVS card.

And since I used all my wipes coupons at Publix earlier this month I was clean out of manufacturer coupons.

PS I didn’t get a Huggies Wipe coupon at the scanner, but did get a 4.00 off a Huggies Box :(

Thanks so much! I just got (4) for $5.99 after my Huggies manufacturer coupons…no CVS coupons came out of the machine for me, but this deal is still obscene…I love it! I wouldn’t be the least bit suprised if this is an error that we’ll find corrected in the morning…

Reply

16 Jen February 23, 2010 at 6:25 PM

Well, it’s still not corrected as my CVS gave out the same price to someone else today.

Will we all *definitely* get a Huggies coupon, or do you have to have bought baby stuff already? (My card is new.) Can you purchase just one first, then scan to see if it will give a Huggies coupon?
Thanks so much for the heads-up!

23 Mercedes February 22, 2010 at 10:39 PM

Hi jen,

No, it’s not for sure that you will get the coupon. It’s mostly random and it has to do with what you have bought before and what’s on sale any particular week.

I’m starting to think this is worth the drive in to town to try this. Knowing my luck, there will be none left tomorrow when I get there after hauling two kids out…but it’s worth a shot. Maybe I’ll call and see if they’ll put one or two aside for me. ;)

Thanks!

Victoria, Upromise allows you to earn money for college via rebates on a wide variety of items: gas, groceries, Upromise credit card, etc. The website has a section about ecoupons, which changes every month. You need to log in & select the ecoupons you want (I always select all of them). When you purchase those items, rebates will go toward your college savings. Visit upromise.com for complete details.

I got 2 big bags of the Huggies Wipes for $5 around 11:30. The coupon/scanner machine was broken so I don’t know if it would have printed Huggies coupons. Besides the wipes I got 10 cans tuna 49 cents each (used 2 $2 coupons) 2 Simply Asia 99 cents each (used 2 50 cent coupons) and 2 big Scott paper towel packages $4.99 each ( used 2 one dollar coupons) Also used a $4 off coupon from recycling and a $10 ECB. (also scanned my green tag, have earned $4 so far) My total was $2.86 and a coupon for $2 off a tub of Huggies printed on the bottom of the receipt. “Today I saved $53.38 at CVS.

Thanks for this great tip. I went to the one in my area and indeed the mega wipes (216 ct) were on sale for 2/$5. And on top of that, when i scanned my card, it gave me a $5 off of $15 purchase. Of course, I went ahead and bought 6 Huggies wipes refill all (216 ct) and used the coupons. Basically, got 6 mega packs for just $10. Super excited today. Thanks for sharing this.

I just did this one here in PA and it worked! I didn’t get the coupons from the scanner but bought two packs of the 216 ct wipes and they rung up 2/$5 plus I had other coupons so I spent $3.50 total. Great Deal!

I bought 24 packages today… my son is 9 months and I’m pregnant again, due in August. Totally worth dragging my kid to three different CVS today to get these wipes!!

I used a gift card I had from transferring a prescription, some ECBs and several coupons and only paid .30cents of my own money which I dug out of the bottom of my purse!!

49 Maria February 24, 2010 at 10:24 AM

just got back home from CVS and the wipes are now $7.99. they probably fixed the price already. good thing i was able to buy 2 yesterday.
