My BEST EVER gift from my husband was a gift card to a nice restuarant. It was for me to take my Mom, 3 sisters and adult niece out to lunch. It was the first time we had ALL been together in years! That is a tough one. I can not even remeber the last actual gift I was given on my birthday besides cash. Cash does work though. This year I am hoping for a pair of pearl earings to match my Lisa Leonard necklace I got for Christmas.

My favorite birthday present was a Pandigital photo scanner. I can scan a couple of hundred old photo’s in an hour and get the “vintage” photo’s into the digital age. Using the face recognition feature in Picasa has been wonderful to pull together the photos of grandparents and great grandparents that are no longer with us….also good to pull up photo montages for graduations, weddings etc. I love the digital age!
I will be 30 this year, so I am hoping for something special. I think I might be getting diamond earrings.
My favorite gift was a dog. Growing up my parents didn’t let me have pets, so for the first birthday we were married my husband got me a puppy! Seems like such a kid gift but I was 23 and I loved it!

What I would really like for my birthday. Well, my husband and I were married in July, and my birthday is in July. We will be celebrating our 10 yr wedding anniversary this year. I would really like it if we could have just one weekend away!

My family always makes my birthday so special that it is hard for me to pick a favorite! One thing that does stand out to me though is the necklace that my husband bought me a few years ago with John 3:16 inscribed on the pendant. My favorite bithday memory was several, several years ago. It was my first year of college and I was about 350 miles from home. My Mom came up and surprised me. It’s a great memory.

I have two favorites! Being a mom on my 28th birthday for the first time after 6 years of infertility. That was memorable. Second, my husband arranged it so we could move in to our new home on my b’day. He scheduled the movers, occupancy permit, and everything without me knowing. Last year I got a Wii for my birthday. I had become completely sucked in by the commercials showing the mom getting in shape with the Wii Fit. So the Wii was for my birthday and then a month later the Wii Fit plus came for Christmas!

The best gift I got (aside from my daughter who was born about 2 weeks before my birthday this year) was a pair of shoes I’d been eyeing. My husband told me he went to get them and they were sold out, but low and behold, on my birthday-there was a bag on the table and the shoes were inside! I’m in need of a new pair-I wear them all the time!

I love Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child and I’m always shopping for deals for items to pack in the shoeboxes. I’m constantly stopping at dollar stores, Target, Walmart, etc. One year for my birthday my husband wrote on the card that for the next year he would not complain about any stops I wanted to make for the shoebox purchases! I loved that gift so much – and I knew how hard it was for him to do that! He has continued that gift every year since then, too.

The best B-day present for me was a whole day planned by my hubby…He planned dinner, watched the kids so I could go get my hair done and even planned a babysitter so we could go watch a movie (even though she ended up being sick…It was great!

We moved to San Francisco from Texas, and a friend, who also moved here from Texas about the same time we did (though I didn’t know her before), bought me a Texas lantana for my garden. My all time favorite birthday present was almost 4 years ago. My nephew was born the day before my birthday. My sister and her husband had taken me out for dinner and to see a play at a local theater. While we were waiting for the play we were walking around a mall and my sister was complaining of a backache. It turned out she had a really bad bladder infection, was dehydrated and getting ready to go into labor. She went into labor that night and delivered him the next day. That was the absolute best birthday present! And my nephew and I adore each other!

Being unemployed on my birthday last year and having to watch every penny, four friends treated me to a weekend in the city – bowling, dining out, and giving me a time to get away and relax without worrying about things for two days. That was wonderful!

One year, when we were dating, my husband made an all-wood homemade recipe box for me. It is beautiful and I still use it today (about 30 years later).
My favorite birthday present was a butter dish. Yes a butter dish! I looked for one for a long time that was tuscan looking rather than just clear glass. Well my husband spent an entire day looking for one and he found the perfect one! It’s so pretty. It meant a lot to me that he spent so much time looking for something he had really never thought tiwce about before I said I wanted one. Very thoughtful of him! I’ve had it for 2 years now and I still love it! Again, yes, a butter dish! My birthday is 12 days away and I really want a blue tooth.

Last year for my birthday my husband woke me up with a love letter and at the end it said that he was taking me to Palm Springs for a shopping spree and that he had gotten a babysitter for our son and we were able to enjoy a weekend alone. Shopping (which this was 1 of the only times my husband has actually gone shopping with me!), eating at great restaurants, laying out by the pool, and just relaxing with eachother!

Hmmm if your asking in terms of possibly something from Target I’d love 2 cookie sheets and 2 sil pads (I think that’s what they are called) They go on top of baking sheet so you don’t have to grease the sheet for cookies and such.

I am really wanting a rebel camera! We are missing all those great moments without a camera, so I can’t wait. Since my birthday is November 7th it will be a bday/xmas present, but thats ok!
My favorite present was going to a conference. I got three days in a hotel without any children. I got to eat what I wanted without having to prepare anything.

We were going through lot of family stress, dad was between jobs, economy was in recession, I was going to graduate without a job in hand and money was super tight …. She gave me a small potted money plant with a note to nourish and count my blessings and things will be fine. And they did.

Just got a KitchenAid mixer. LOOOOOOVE IT!
My fave birthday was bbq in the snow (my birthday is in Dec. and it was very cold but my husband was so sweet to brave the elements to bbq for me which is my fave dinner) and then as a family we sat back and watched a movie after dinner with a warm fire blazing in the fireplace and snow coming softly down. Awwww…contentment.
We are building a new house right now and so for my birthday I got $250 to go to my favorite home decorating store and buy stuff for our new home.

I got an MP3 player for my birthday this year…at first I was thinking, What IS this? But it’s a really cool little device. You can load ALL your CDs onto it and have them all in one place. It even plays through my car’s CD player (which quit playing CDs a while ago!).

He bought me a beatuiful set from swarovskis, necklace and earings, he got up with the kids in the morning and had them bring me the little blue boxes and he brought me breakfast in bed…it was sooo cute.

Two years ago my Husband surprised me with a really nice digital camera! I couldn’t believe it.
Thoughtful gifts from husband–Printed (at kinkos) a Bible study journal for me to use to take notes on sermons and in my own study. Personalized pages with questions (that he knew would challenge me to answer)…WOW. It wasn’t even pretty, but the front and back cover were laminated so it held up throughout the year.
Hoping for camera accessories (got a DSLR for Christmas) or gift certificate for massage this year!

With 3 kids, I’ve told my husband the only thing I want for my birthday (next week) is to go away together for the weekend!
