Rite Aid Deal: Prevacid Moneymaker

Here’s a way to make some money buying a very expensive medicine (wish it worked that way for other medicines). Rite Aid sells Prevacid 24hr 42ct for $29.99. Combine it with coupons and a Mail in Rebate to get it free plus $13 in overage:

Prevacid 24hr 42ct $29.99
Use $3/15 Rite Aid printable coupon
Use $10/1 Prevacid February Rite Aid Video Values coupon
Use $4/1 Prevacid 24HR Product, exp. 3-27-10 (Parade 02/28/10) or $4/1 printable coupon
Pay $12.99 plus tax out of pocket

Then submit receipt for Mail in Rebate from 2/28 Parade Magazine and get $25.99 back by mail! Sounds like a good deal. Please note that some of you have left comments sharing that your Rite Aid won’t let you use more than one printable coupon. There’s no exception about this on Rite Aid’s Official Coupon Policy.  Also, you may want to watch the Rite Aid Values video today as it is the last day to do so according to Shannon at for the mommas.

Thanks Karen for emailing me about this one.

What happens if you don’t get Parade magazine? Where do we get the form?

  2. JenMarie says:

Parade comes in my Sunday paper.

My Parade had two prev Qs:
    $6 off 14 or 28 ct
    $10 off 42 ct.

  3. Sarah says:

The video values coupon states that it is a manufacturer coupon; it does not say it’s a video values coupon like it usually does, though it does have a Rite Aid logo.

I’m unsure if they’ll allow usage of this with the Prevacid coupon, because it states, “coupon cannot be combined with other coupon offers.”

    • Sarah says:

After looking it over again, I’m not going to attempt using it in conjunction with another coupon– I don’t think it’d be right, because it IS a manufacturer’s coupon and not a Rite Aid specific coupon, despite getting it through video values.

To everyone else, check your other Sunday magazines in the newspaper, mine had a $10.00 off 42 ct. Prevacid that I’m going to use instead of the video values one.

  5. jen says:

ok, my parade had the coupons but no mail in rebate form…. weird.

  6. jen says:

also, how to I subscribe to the comment feed now? i used to click the box but i dont see it anymore!

  7. mel says:

in my parade magazine i didnt see a mail in rebate for Prevacid.

  8. Lisa says:

My rebate form is only for 50% of the purchase price. So it would be $15. Still a slight moneymaker.

  9. Cheryl says:

Yes, the Video Values q is a manufacturer coupon which cannot be combined. I didn’t get the rebate form either. I thought it came out in a previous insert

  10. Emily S. says:

    Marcedes–

Whats your take on the combining coupons, since the Video Values says manufacturer?

    • Cassandra says:

In the Rite Aid coupon policy they state that you can combine a “Rite Aid Manf. Coupon” with a “Manf Coupon”. Their policy says you can use both even though the Rite Aid one says manufacturer on it.

      • Emily S. says:

I hope this is the case! However, the policy says “Only one manufacturer coupon is accepted for each product, unless coupled with another manufacturer coupon found in a Rite Aid circular.” Seems like the right thing for them to do to extend this exception to the Video Values, guess we will see…

  11. mel says:

tried it today and they wouldnt take both coupons bc they were both manufacture.

  12. Linda says:

Does anybody have the rebate form ? Cant find one
    Thanks
