Target Deals: Listerine and Olay Body Wash Gift Card Deals

Like I said before, it does seem like it’s a week of goo deals at Target.  Here are two more deals you may want to hear about before hitting your local Target:

Listerine Gift Card Deal

There’s a Listerine gift card offer available from now through March 31st at Target: Buy 3 Smart Rinse 500 ml Bonus 2-Pack at $4.49 for a double pack and get a $5 gift card back

Here’s your deal:

Buy three bonus packs of Listerine Smart Rinse at $4.49 each= $13.47
Use three $1/1 Listerine printable coupons (IE) (FF Link) or here or from 12/6 RP
Pay $10.47 and get a $5 gift card back.
That’s like paying 91 cents per bottle.

Olay Body Wash Gift Card Deal

There is also an unadvertised gift card deal on Olay Body Wash. Buy three of the Total Effects Body Wash at $5.49 or the Bonus Packs of Quench or Ribbons also $5.49 and get a $5 gift card. Combine this gift card offer with the gift card offer on the Venus razors for the following deal:

Buy three Venus Razors razors= $20.97
Buy Three Olay body wash at $5.49 = $16.47
Subtotal $37.44
-$6 when you use three $2 off one Venus coupons from 2/7 P&G insert
-$16.47 when you use three FREE Body Wash when you buy a razor coupons from 2/7 P&G insert
Pay $14.97 plus tax out of pocket and earn back a $5 gift card for the razors and $5 gift cards from the body wash

Thanks My Frugal Adventures

A couple of things to remember:  First, some of you have already reported mixed results on being able to use the free body wash coupon with the $2 off one razor coupon at the same time.  This is not stacking, you are still using one coupon per item but you may need to do some explaining if your cashier refuses.  Finally, if none of these deals are tagged at your local store, scan the items at the price checking machines located inside the store.  If the item qualifies for a gift card deal the price checking machine will display a message stating so.

I did the Venus/Olay deal last night and it worked! I did it slightly different from your post:
2 Venus Embrace razors @ $6.99: $13.98

Subtotal: $30.45
- 2 $2 Venus coupons: $4
- 2 Buy one razor get one Olay body wash coupons: $10.98
- $1 Olay body wash coupon: $1
Total: $14.47
+ Earned 2 $5 gift cards :)

The register does tell the cashier item not found for the Olay coupon. My cashier pushed it through anyway.

When you say “unadvertised” what do you mean? I was at Target today and bough 3 of the Olay body washes, but I did not get a $5.00 gift card. Is is advertised anywhere I could go back to Target to get my $5.00 gift card?

Last night I bought 4 Venus, 4 Gillette and 4 Olay BW. (Can you guess how many Sunday papers I get? lol) I got 5 $5 GCs making the final cost just under $7 before tax.

My store had no signs up for any of it. I had to scan the razors to figure out which ones were on sale for $6.99 and then an extremely nice pharmacist scanned things at his register to confirm the GCs. (It was his idea.. really sweet man!) I bought the ribbons BW w/ the bonus lotions because I had read elsewhere that those worked (and they were larger than the Total Effects.) I think they had a sign for $5.50.

I’m fairly new to couponing and these amazing deals so I was thrilled to get my favorite razors. I have a stash of disposables for the teenagers that I got for free from Wags but I am willing to pay $7 just for the 8 cartridges for me! The men’s razors & BW were an awesome bonus. ;)

Side note: I was worried I had waited too long for the Dove Men’s bar soap deal. $3.99 sale, $1 Target coupon and $1.75 printable. It was still on sale so I was thrilled. When I was checking out the cashier saw the $1 Manu coupon on the box and peeled it off, I told him I had my own that was better to use and he said I could use them both! Not something I would have tried or asked to do, but final cost $0.24!

I glanced at the oatmeal deals but I had left my coupons at home. I am going to try to figure out a deal with the 8 coupons I have from Sunday’s paper. I think I’ve already printed the $1 ones.

Oh, when I scanned the items to check their prince none of them said anything about a GC. Weird.

Price even.. typing one handed as usual. ;)

When I was at Target today the Venus razors were not marked down so I had a manager scan the item for me (the scanner machines were down). She confirmed the 6.99 sale price but said that buying two would not produce a GC. I thought the deal was good enough with the coupons and free body wash so I got them anyway….and I was THRILLED when the cashier handed me my $5.00 gift card! So, I don’t know why the manager didn’t even know about the deal?!?

Did you buy the Total Effects body wash?

9 Melanie February 9, 2010 at 7:04 PM

For the listerine deal—look for the $5 off of 3 coupon in Weight Watchers magazine from Jan/Feb. Makes it even cheaper!!

Mercedes,
I have a question, if u do not mind.
What if I bought 6 venus razors, and 6 body wash, would that work?
So for the 6 venus, I would get back 15$ gift card, for every two, and then 10$ gift card for the bosy wash, since its for every three.
Does this make sense? I’m just thinking its better then buying 3 razors, and then missing out on the second gift card.
Hope I didnt confuse everyone.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Anu,

of course I don’t mind! Yes! that would work really well too. It is justa bit more $$ out of pocket but you get it back in gift cards.

Good deal just remember that as someone pointed out the Olay coupons beep for price and need to be pushed through. hopefully you have a coupon friendly store.

I stopped at Target today to get the deal on the Olay. I purchased the Ribbon body wash, and did not get a gift card. Is this regional?

13 Maria February 9, 2010 at 10:30 PM

Oh really??? I scanned the Olay effects, ribbons, etc, etc. and because none of them said anything about GC I didn’t even tried. :(

So, when is an unadvertised deal, didn’t show on the screen when we scan the item??? Any ideas. Thanks!!!

is it just certain listerines? my store has the double pack of the whitening rinse but it is not 4.49. is it is the price point that gives the gc?

15 LoriAnn February 10, 2010 at 3:18 PM

I looked for the LISTERINE packs … they are the TWO packs right?

16 Sunny February 10, 2010 at 8:37 PM

I’m new to all this…

Neither the razors nor the body wash said anything at the scanner about a GC but worked fine at the registers. You could bring a few types up to try or ask electronics or pharmacy to check for you if they aren’t busy. HTH.

I bought 2 Olay ribbons and 2 olay quench yesterday and did not receive gift cards — I got them free with the razors, but just YMMV. They had the older price checkers and it didn’t show anything re: gift cards even on the razors — not sure if it’s because I bought 2 and 2.

Also, for the Quaker deal, you have to buy 5 individual packs or 5 large packs for the oatmeal deal. Mixing and Matching doesn’t seem to be producing a gift card. I had 4 large and 1 individual (b/c of the coupons I had), but when I bought one more large, it produced a gc.

For those of you using the Free Olay bodywash wyb Venus coupon, What does your Olay total show on your receipt? I’m interested in doing the new Olay $15 rebate and it says to circle your purchase price. Sometimes on my Target receipts when I use coupons it automatically adjusts the price that is printed for the item it attaches to and then lists the coupon underneath it. Does it do this with the free coupon?

19 Christina February 13, 2010 at 1:42 PM

Ok, I’m back to report that I went to Target this morning and bought the Olay and it showed 5.50 on my receipt.

Does anyone know what date this Target deal is good till?

21 Lori February 15, 2010 at 4:16 PM

I also found the $5/3 in the Essence magazine as well (just FYI). I’m holding out on some free toothbrushes with them, though!

Where can I get extra Buy one razor get one Olay body wash coupons?

23 Zoua February 17, 2010 at 10:15 AM

I recently purchased some off Ebay. There aren’t any printable ones available. If you have the 2/7 Proctor and Gamble coupon insert from the 2/7 Sunday paper, it should be there.
