Target Now Has Mobile Coupons

by Mercedes on February 7, 2010

Great news! Target has moved on to the next level of e-coupons (did you hear that Walmart? time to evolve!). You can now get Target coupons texted to your cell phone. Register your cellphone number to get text alerts from Target. Every sunday you will get monthly offers via text message with a link to a barcode that can be scanned at checkout. The same barcode can be used for multiple one-time-only coupon deals throughout the month. Please note that standard text messaging rates apply. In other words you will get charged for these texts if you don’t have unlimited texting plan.

Thanks Couponing to Disney!

My cell phone plan costs extra (past my unlimited texts) for picture messages. Would these coupon texts count as picture messages? Does anyone know? I’d hate to sign up if I’m going to be charged every time I get one!

That’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.

“multiple one-time-only coupon deals throughout the month” — what exactly does this mean? Is it I can only buy one of the item per day, but I could go back every day and use the same coupon, again on one single item

Can these be combined with manufacturer coupons??

Hi Jeanette,

It means you will get several TArget coupons but only one of each type for a one time use. Hope that makes sense.

Destiny,

I believe these will be TArget store coupons in which case they can be combined with manufacturer coupons.

This is really cool. And the smartest part, in my opinion, is that they ask what time zone you are in and what time you want to receive your updates. I have a phone number in the west coast time zone, but I live on the east coast, I really appreciate this feature.

Have a wonderful day!

Is anyone else having issues with this? I signed up Friday night and I did not get the coupons on Sunday but I have received FIFTY THREE messages from them telling me I already signed up, what GIVES!

So, if it gives you a “link to a barcode,” does that mean you’d have to have internet access on your phone? I don’t have a blackberry or anything…

Hi, I just signed up for the Target Mobile Coupons and received their confirmation email. How long did it take for you to receive the coupon link… I would like to use it this week for the Venus Razors. Thanks
