I have used these products and I think they are ok. I got some a few weeks ago when they were really cheap at Walgreens. I use most any kinds of shampoo and conditioner as long as they cheap. On a scale of 1-10, 100 being the best I would rate there products a 5.

I have to say that my mom, my neighbor, and I LOVE John Freida’s haircare line! The root awakening products really do bring lift and volume to your hair and the best thing… my hair truly feels CLEAN when I get out of the shower after using the shampoo and conditioner. I really feel like they get all the grime out! This is one product all us ladies stock-pile when the price is right… it’s worth it!

  3. Maria R says:

I can’t find the $5 on two coupon or the $2.50. I only see a $2.00 coupon. Is it under a different zipcode?

  4. Heather says:

I love John Freida! I love it when my hair tingles after a washing and this makes my hair tingle. Try it I think you’ll like it. Totally worth it!

  5. kara says:

i bought these products the last time they were on sale + i really like them!!! even my mom, who will only buy salon brand products, likes them for her very thin + straight hair!

  6. Amy says:

I LOVE John Frieda Root Awakening shampoo and conditioner. I like the tingle; it makes me feel like it’s really working. It leaves my hair fuller and shinier, and I love the smell of it. The eucalyptus makes it smell kind of minty to me. My husband likes the way my hair looks and smells, too.

  7. Andrea says:

They’re really great. I would do this deal but for the fact that I probably have 2 years’ shampoo stockpile and have resolved not to add to it unless it is FREE! But if you need shampoo or want to add to the stockpile, the root awakening stuff is fantastic!!

  8. nicole says:

My zip code does not have any John Freida coupons listed. What zip are you using?

  9. Heidi says:

I bought 12 when Walgreens had them on sale before Christmas. I ended up getting paid $0.40 for each one. Then I got some of their hair spray for free after coupons from their clearance section. I am loving them.

  10. kristen says:

I bought some a these a while back when I was able to get them for $1 each at Walgreens, and I have to say, I’m not a fan. Everyone in my family has curly hair and we use mostly conditioner – shampooing only after swimming – and I just wasn’t impressed with them. We’re Garnier people. : )

That said, everyone’s hair is different. They were worth trying for $1, but I wouldn’t get them again unless they were free.

  11. anna says:

Are they on sale this week or next week? When does the sale price run? I did not see it in the flier this week, that is why I ask.

Also, my take on John Freida is that the shampoo and conditioner is just regular stuff. However, some of their hairsprays are made without the use of water. Waterless hairspray is generally higher quality and desirable, and John Freida brand is some of the cheaper priced waterless hairsprays on the market. So I hardly buy their shampoo/cond. but do try to stock up on the hairspray. Especially the friz-ease.

Anna, the 3/$15 is Megasaver price or good all month long. Make sure to check the tags at your store and if you are going to price check you need to price check three bottles at once. Because online it says 3/$15 or $5.99 each. So if you only price check one bottle it will say $5.99.

OK Mercedes, you have taught me well! About a week ago I had purchased one of the root awakening shampoos at Walgreens and recieved a Walgreens catalina for $3 off 2 root awakenings. Today I purchased 2 root awakening shampoos, and 1 John Frieda volumizing shampoo. I used the $3 catalina along with a 2.50 John Frieda volumizing coupon, and two coupons for $2 off root awakening. My grand total was $5.50 and I received a $5 RR!!! That works out to about 17cents per bottle of shampoo! Thanks again for all of your help!!

  13. sun says:

    Hi Mercedes,

You should know that I judge shampoos based on how they smell. And I must say I love the minty smell, and the way it makes my head tingle just a bit. Not too much like the Tea Tree shampoo. Which always freaked me out. Also, the tube style makes it nice to travel with.

  14. Kaylea says:

I tried them a while ago as part of a promotion, and I thought they didn’t work very well until I tried using a different brand of shampoo with the conditioner, and a different brand of conditioner with the shampoo. It was like my (fine) hair was getting a double dose of the same ingredients and using different brands worked much better.

  15. Jaclyn says:

LOVE the root awakening. I am not able to find the coupons! I am so bummed! Any zip codes that might work?

    • Nicole says:

You can try zip code 10001, I saw them yesterday but wasnt able to print because I printed them before and it wouldn’t allow me, I am so glad that I purchased them a while back because I was able to get the $3.00 catalina from Walgreens as well.

  16. Kayt says:

I really love the John Frieda Root Awakening products. I normally shell out the $20/liter for Biolage because I’ve got really long hair and I’m picky about what I use on it, but when John Frieda is on sale I always stock up and keep some in my closet for when I run out of Biolage. I’m using it right now actually and it smells AMAZING and makes my scalp cool, hehe! It’s got eucalyptus in it, which is fantastic for your hair and gives you that fun cold feeling. Nothing NOT to like about it! I don’t know about his other lines, though.

  17. Danielle says:

Whenever I print these coupons, they show up really small on the printout, has anyone had that happen/know how to fix it? does anyone know if they will still take the coupon? The barcode isn’t fuzzy or anything but it’s not the normal size of the online coupons..

  18. Tyree says:

I must say the spay in conditioner is great for my naturally almost curly hair :) The shampoo is okay. I do want my husband to try it because he liked paul mitchell tea tree and it is similar. He thinks it’s girl shampoo and won’t try it yet :)

  19. Jennifer says:

I got a full size sample of this through VocalPoint and I have to say that I would not use it again…even if it was free!

I do have very “difficult” coarse curly hair..and I couldn’t even get a comb through it after conditioning!

But; sounds like it may be good for folks with finer hair!

  20. jen says:

I got some catalina Q’s on john fredia products. Are the catalina Q’s considered walgreens qs or manufactuer? Just wondering if I can use them together with the printable qs out there.

  21. Dee says:

The John Frieda was NOT on sale at my Walgreens. (Zip code 10704) They were $6.99 for the shampoo & $6.99 for the conditioner. I asked a wandering sales associate and he was pretty sure they weren’t on sale.

How do I know if a certain item is giving RR’s? The flyer had a small area on the back page which showed RR’s but again…NO John Frieda.

Help….I am new at this. Thanks!! (Denise612@aol.com)
