I went last night to Walgreens expecting to do the Children’s Tylenol RR deal…buy 2 @4.99 and get a $3 RR…however I realized I didn’t want the Tylenol plus cold… I just wanted plain Children’s Tylenol (Regular no added cold). The regular was on sale ($2 off regular price) making it $3.69 for the 4oz bottle. I had a coupon (from january, I think RedPlum, but not foresure) for $3.00 off 2 Tylenol added with the $1.00 off Walgreen coupon in the CHildren’s activity book. Making them $1.19 each or $2.38 total…So, I went ahead an bought them even though I thought I wasn’t getting a RR…(btw was cheaper because of the 15% discount) however when I finished the transaction….To my belief it printed a $3 RR….Yeah I was soo excited…SO it was a Moneymaker!!!!

Deal Scenerio-
Buy (2) Children Tylenol 4oz @ $3.69 each = $7.38
*Use $3.00 off 2 Coupon from Red Plum January sometime…sorry I can’t remember which one
*Use $1.00 off Walgreen Activity Booklet = $2.00 off
Pay $2.38 oop and get back $3RR

Maybe it was just luck…but hopefully it works for others.

*Also the Huggies $3 RR cannot be used for the Kotex Tampons…same company and will not distribute a RR…at least at the 2 stores I tried.

Same here…thankfully I caught it before paying and had them take it off. Kind of threw my transactions off a little, but I was able to come up with a quick substitute.

I’ve seen a few people say this is a month long deal, but it isn’t. It was just a weekly (for last week).

Wierd thing
Can someone please explain me why the $1 wags coupon for the huggies became $0.85? I don’t really understand that… you get %15 on purchase, why are the coupons going down by %15 too… First time that i see that.

Tried to pay the Huggies with the RR’s that i got from other purchase and as everyone know alrealy it’s not rolling, so the lady canceled everything and redid the purchase and i paid with other RR’s.

Got my free pics, one for me one for DH….love it..

So wasn’t that bad of a day…:)

Just got back from my Walgreens in Louisiana and the manager said they were no longer accepting internet coupons. The cashier had already scanned some coupons like the Dove and oOrbit gum and they had gone through, but the Rembrandt coupon would not. The manager came over and then said they were no longer taken internet Q’s and made the cashier redo everything. Such a sad day for me.

Oh, and as we commented above, apparently if you have a $2 off 2 Q (for example), it “attaches” itself to BOTH of those items, so remember that when planning enough filler items. That one was news to me, and since I learned that, it’s been a breeze checking out at Wag’s.

yep. RR are actally a mfr Q just as the internet printables or Sunday newspaper Q’s are. all the Wag’s Q’s (in ad, instant value, etc) are store coupons; those don’t say “mfr coupon” on them… I usually just watch for those words when in question. HTH! Oh, and PS, since RR are a mfr Q, other stores WILL take them (like Jewel Osco, for sure!) if you don’t want to spend your money back at Walgreens.

Wow, I’ve been reading this site for almost a year now and doing deals @ Wags the whole time, and I never had anyone tell me this. The whole time I’ve been blaming the store coupons or thinking the Qs had to be entered in some magic order. My deals went PERFECTLY today after I gained that knowlegde! I had the same problem today with the Dove Men’s care not printing a RR. Well, I think the computer just wasn’t because they said they’d had problems since the power went out earlier this week (due to snow). It was a huuuuge ordeal, they said I couldn’t use the coupon, too, because I was already getting it free. I didn’t argue that they’re getting reimbursed because she had an attitude already and I just wanted to go. BUT they took the 15% off for F&F and then gave me a handwritten RR raincheck for the whole price. Ummm, duh, people! Same thing, except you’re not getting reimbursed for the 15% savings…

That happened to me also. I bought Huggies ealier this week and then went today and bought Kotex and this RR did not print. It gets confusing enough with multiple RR’s to keep them straight and not use one for the same product, but now I have to watch for who the product is made by also????

I got a good deal, but the cashier had to re-do the whole transaction and split it up and she kept forgetting the discount and it took 10 minutes to check out.

I just got back from my Walgreen’s foraging. I managed to get the dove, venus/olay, and huggies deals, so I’m happy. I also bought the vitamin water lip balm but didn’t get a RR — not too upset ’cause I’m a lip balm junkie and I’ll take any excuse to try a new one.

Thanks to your tips, btw, I was able to pick up two of those activity books with the coupons in them. Got them for $.79 with the 15% off coupon, so they’ve already been moneymakers for me just using the huggies coupon alone. I don’t know why, but that fact in particular tickles me.

No, they won’t go out of business for the reason Mercedes said plus
they make all their profit off perscriptions. the rest is just
loss leaders to get us to buy our pharmacy stuff here, not cvs.

Thanks Amy, I had been doing the Huggies deal all week (with adding a piece of candy) and it was rolling at those times (I just saw that it is no longer rolling). But, I have been doing this deal all week without issue. This cashier refused to even scan my coupons. Oh well, I may have just gotten a disgruntled cashier. I’ll try another Wal-greens.

The orbitz gum was not marked on sale but it WAS ringing up $1.50 before discount.
I think the Quilted Northern 9pack for 3.39 is a good deal combined with the $1 MQ.
I bought 6 packs of diapers. Then I bought vitamins I needed and used up almost all of the RRs to pay for them, since I used the candy bars as filler.
It was great! They were so helpful and let me do so many transactions with the discount.

We forgot to scan the in-ad coupon though for the candybars… so I paid 40cents too much for them.

*In the math above, it should state $1.96 for 4 candybars.
