I think in order to earn a gift card you need to spend a certain amount of money (I believe $75) in a certain time period. We tried getting a supposed free ream of paper once but it wasn’t as clear cut as the ad seemed to imply.
I ordered a free ream of paper in January and got my free rewards with no problem and no minimum purchase order either. If you are a maxperks member they also email you coupons. Maybe you have confused those with your rewards?

I looked up what you were talking about and there is a bonus rewards programs were you get bonus rewards when you spend above and beyond certain amounts at Office Max. But the free after rebate offers don’t require a minimum purchase to get your money back.

Thanks Mercedes. Maybe we will have to check this out afterall, my husband is a teacher.
There is one other difference. If you have a business max perks rewards account you will receive the perks rewards by the 20th of the month after your purchase. If you have the teacher max perks account you will not receive your rewards until the 20th of the month after a quater ends (If you purchased the paper in January and have a teacher account you will not get your statement until April 20th, however if you have a business perks account you would have received it by Feb. 20th). I just called for clarification.
Remeber do not spend your rewards on purchasing items eligible for rewards. You do not qualify for rewards if items are purchased with rewards dollars. I just verified that with Maxperks customer service yesterday.
Can I use a coupon when purchasing the bonus rewards items? I have several $15 off $75 purchase or $40 off $100 purchase coupons from Office Max.
