Looking for a little toy to keep the kids entertained while on the road? Here is a sweet deal on the travelsize version of Hungry Hippos. Walmart and Target sell these for around $4.99 each. Here’s how to get them for 99 cents each:
Hungry Hungry Hippos (travel edition) for $4.99
Use $4/1 printable coupon
Pay $0.99 each after coupon
This would also be a good way to keep the kids entertained while eating out, don’t you think? oops apparently this is a pretty loud game. Oh well, good for on the road or at home not at restaurants.
Thanks Coupon Cravings!

I went to Walmart, it was marked $5.24. The checker said the coupon wouldn’t recognize the travel size of Hungry Hippos. It was a fun ordeal as the manager said “That would make it so you only paid $1.24, that cant be right” I just giggled, apparently he doesn’t get it that we coupon-ers always get great deals. Oh well, better luck to everyone else trying to use this coupon.
Wondering where to find these at Target. I have tried 3 different targets of different layouts/types and looked in the luggage section and toys.
I think it would be great for keeping kids occupied while eating out if it’s A LOT quieter than the full sized version….otherwise, I think I’d have many other unhappy diners around me giving me dirty looks!
the full size version is loud? It has been many many years since I have seen this game in action.

@Mercedes,
I gave this to my daughter for Christmas, and it would probably be pretty annoying to other customers with all the clacking–unless it was a LOUD restaurant, then maybe no one would notice!
I went to two targets and didn’t find this. I ended up finding it at Wal Mart and they took the coupon. It wouldn’t ring, but the cashier pushed it through with manager approval. YES!
Couldn’t find it at Target here and the WalMart employee said they wouldn’t take it for the travel version.
At Target last year (before Christmas), I had to search and search, but finally found some kind of on an endcap (not exactly on the end, but hanging near the end), and I think there may have been some by the travel and card games in the toy section.
I bought one of these back in December (I haven’t seen them lately in Target, but it was on an end cap near the luggage when I bought it). I took it on our flight to Hawaii for my 2 1/2 year old. It wasn’t very noisy, the plane noise drowned most of it out. It was a great toy to keep him occupied for a bit. I like that the balls are all enclosed. The large version isn’t one I’d be comfortable with because the balls are loose and he puts stuff in his mouth still.
Didn’t work at Walmart and Target didn’t have them
I was told by the cashier that they can’t take a coupon if it doesn’t scan – end of story. There was no flexibility there.
Coudnt find it at Target
I really hope I can find this tomorrow
Found this at Walmart. The computer did not recognize it, but the cashier accepted my coupon anyway.
How’s everyone doing with their Christmas shopping? These Hasbro coupons are getting me some great stocking stuffers!
This coupon will beep at walmart so depending on your store they may not take it. My walmart is not coupon friendly and they would not take it. They do take coupons but they question everything. I haven’t tried it at any other store.
