I stopped by Walgreens last night and got a better than expected deal on Reach floss.

Here's how to get FREE (plus a small overage) Reach Total Care floss

Get 4 pkgs of Reach Total Care floss
Use (2) B1G1 coupons 1/3 RP2
Use $5.01 in-ad coupon (mine did not state couldn't be used with manu coupons)

Instead of taking $5.01 off with the in-ad coupon, the register automatically took off $6.68 which made them all FREE with a 68¢ overage! It looks like the in-ad coupon must take off $1.67 per each qualifying item.

Buy 2 Reach for = 2 x $3 = $6
Get 2 Free reach with B1G1
Minus $6.68 in-ad coupon
Free + 68¢ overage!

Good luck!

JMO, but toothpaste is free often enough that I wouldn't pay for it unless I were completely out.

Not technically. The only thing Walgreens has steadily included as part of their coupon policy is that they do NOT accept expired coupons. If it's just a day or two, your store manager may accept it, but that really a YMMV. You can ask. Worst you'll get is a "no".

Ditto Kristina. The WAGS coupon doesn't count toward your total coupon. Some stores' computers will attach a $1/2 coupon to BOTH items, I've heard, so maybe that was the problem? The total number of items must be EQUAL to or GREATER than the number of MANUFACTURER's coupons. IME, this is the rule. But if your store attaches a coupon to more than one item, it throws the whole count off.

Did you buy anything else besides the two vitamins? If the coupon takes off $5.00, and the products work out to even ONE PENNY less that this, you will need a filler to eat up the overage. And once they've scanned the coupon, you can't add the filler and try again. The coupon won't take off any more. BTDT. Unless you've got a nice cashier who will void the whole thing and start over.

Thanks a lot. I guess that clears that up. I guess the readers/ writers above who wrote about the deal of using the manufacturer coupons and the "in ad" coupon to get 2 toothbrushes and 1 floss for free went to stores that did not impose the rule.Lucky!

The Walgreens Reach coupon specifically says that it cannot be combined with any other offers. If you look, none of the other Walgreens coupons say that, so this Reach store coupon is different.

I went to Walgreen's today to get the deal on the Reach toothbrush/floss. My store in Baltimore has signs posted on all the Reach products, "No manufacturer coupons allowed with Walgreen coupon and sale Reach products". I couldn't believe it! I thought the policy allowed one manufacturer and one IVC.

Glade Reed Diffuser or Candle $5.99
Use $2/1 Glade coupon from March Booklet
Use $3/1 Select Glade Candles or Reed Diffusers, exp. 3-6 (SS 02/07/10)
Pay $0.99 each after coupons
Can I still use the $3/1 coupon?

I've been told by Walgreens that is the rule...you can use two coupons on one item, that's fine, but the TOTAL number of items purchased must exceed the TOTAL number of coupons used. Hope that helps!

Thanks Mercedes! I am new to couponing and your site is so helpful to me! I also have a question about the Olay rebate--will they refund more than three items, but up to $15? Or will they only refund 3 items period? The rebate form has more slots, but I'm still uncertain.

Hi,

When I went to Walgreens last week, the cashier told me I can't use more coupons than number of items I'm purchasing. I had 4 items, but 5 coupons because 4 of them were manufacturer and 1 was a Walgreens coupon. Is this right?

The pampers deal you ahve posted is wrong. the $2 coupon you have matched with it is for cruiser only and not included in the sale. There is a $1.50/1 coupon in the prevous P&G if you use 2 of them thatmakes the packs $7.25 each after RR

Oh, and a heads up... the Digiorno are ringing up as 2/$6 at my store! O_O I had to redo my transaction because I needed $20 worth of pizza to get the RR, and my 4 pizzas only totaled $12

[...] Buy 2 Pampers diapers at $10 each, Get $2.50 Register Rewards Use 2 $2/1 coupon from the 2/21 P&G insert Or use 2 $1.50/1 coupon from the 2/7 P&G insert As low as $6.75 each after coupons and Register Rewards (Note: The Diapers.com deal on Pampers is a much better price if you need to stock up–and it’s shipped to your door for free!) New to shopping at Walgreens? Be sure to head over and check out Walgreens 101 where I explain in detail how to maximize the mileage of your money at Walgreens.
