Just found out that the Nivea for Men Active3 that’s free after register rewards this week is ringing buy one get one free. This is what I would do to get a super sweet deal on this:
Buy two Active3 body washes 2/$5.99
+add additional inexpensive item
Use two $3/1 Nivea coupons
Pay cost of additional item only and get back a $6 register rewards!!
Let me know how you do with this deal if youare heading out to shop this morning. I won’t get a chance to give it a try until this evening, if I find any in stock.
Thanks Coupon Teacher!

Seems like this might be regional from what I’m reading. Not working for everyone.
You can’t use two coupons on a buy one/get one free item. That is coupon fraud and the store does not get money back for that. The cashiers will not take two coupons for that. they will take one coupon for a buy one/get one free. How can you take a coupon off of something that you did not pay for in the first place.? Watch for that. I will not take two coupons for that item.
I will be trying deal with 2 coupons, I’ll let you know how it comes out!!
You understand that you are purchasing two items right? It is not fraud to use 2 coupons on two items. In fact most of the drugs stores have posted in their coupon policies that they will accept 2 coupons on BOGO items and will even accept a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sales. It is cashiers like you that we find frustrating, ones that make their own rules and ones that do understand how retailers get paid on coupons. As long as they have in “sales” the same number of items as they have coupons they will be reimbursed! The only time it is fraud is when they turn in more coupons than they have bought from the manuf. example they redeem 100 coupons but have only bought 50 items.
Please educate yourself on how this really works and try to be excited when couponers come in your store, we help boost volume and even make money for your company because they make 8 cents for every coupon. Since most couponers are very giving with the items they score it means that the odds are they will be back to buy more body wash when the next deal rolls around because they have donated to charities what they have…that equates to more business for Walgreens and more money for them.
@ walgreenwoman: I’d like to know your actual job title. Do you in fact work for a clearing house? Or are you just repeating what someone has said to you? Walgreens has some of the greatest deals, but their lack of a company policy and failure to proprerly educate their staff makes them almost the WORST chain for customer service.
If you have a problem with 2 coupons for two items, how do you feel about ONE bogo coupon on TWO items, when those items are on sale bogo from the store? Shouldn’t be a problem with that, right? Customer still walks out with two products and only pays tax.
Granted its one coupon per item, but you actually have to pay for the item to use a coupon. for example you cant take a dollar off 99 cents, so you cant take 3 dollars off of free. walgreens wont change the price of the item or coupon.
Really? I didn’t have any q’s but, there was a woman ahead of me who had the $3 q’s and the cashier not only scanned one $3 q but on the second $3 q she reduced the q to $2.99. That woman paid .34 tax for 2 bodywashes and received a $6 RR.
I love it when people throw around the word, “fraud” like they know what they are talking about! It is fraud to take a coupons for a product that you did not actually sell. The store cannot sell one, and then redeem two coupons. However, the store is selling two! Therefore, they can redeem two. A coupon can still be used on an item that is considered, “free” because the free part of the sale is coming from the store, not the manufacturer. Most bogo sales are nothing more than a 2 for sale anyway. Who would really pay $5.99 for one bodywash!?! Throw in the bogo & they are now 2 for $5.99. That’s a good deal even for those that don’t use a lot of coupons/RR’s. The District Manager in my area did his work on the whole bogo sale+bogo coupon=two item free, just pay the tax. He did find out from the head of Consumer Relations at Wags that this is okay! He really investigated too. I am not going to go into all of the details on what he did, but it was great to see him step up & get more info in order to help the customer. All You magazine also had that fact published in their magazine a couple of issues ago. Sorry, I can’t remember which one. There was a article about how someone can stretch their buck. Coupons was one of the things listed, and the whole “bogo+bogo” was in that article.
Walgreenwoman, yes the store does get the money back on the coupons for those items. It is a special promotion that the store is offering, it is not the manufacturer who is running the B1G1 special. The store will be reimbursed the amount of the coupon by the manufacturer. In that case, I believe the store would actually be making money because the customer didn’t pay for the item, but the manufacturer will still reminburse for the $$ amount on the coupon.
I totally agree! It is definitely to Walgreen’s benefit to accept 2 qs.
as a mom of a big family i would love these to use at walgreens …i don’t buy stuff like that unless its free but with 4 boys and a husband they would love it… thanks
i have also been told by a Walgreens manager that you can use 1 coupon per item and the bogo is a store promotion so does not interfere with that rule.
Our Walgreens was already out of Nivea Men’s Body Wash this morning.
I was pleasantly surprised though that at CVS, they changed the limit on the Gillette and Old Spice Men’s Body Wash. It is also a money maker now for anyone interested. Buy two, use a BOGO free coupon to pay $4 for both, and get $8 back in Extra Care Bucks.
This bogo worked for me. i bought 2 and used my bogo from the June all you. I was confused when my oop was lower than expected. Now I understand why! I confirmed on my receipt also that they took off the bobo coupon I had (5.99) and then it deducted another (5.99).
thanks wags!
Thank you for posting my deal! I only used one coupon, but it worked well.
I just came back from my walgreens and used a 5.00 off 2 nivea and it was bogo so it made it a very nice deal.I have only one 3.00 Q off nivea but i plan to go back in a while and do it again.
Thank you…thank you…thank you. I was able to get $42 in RR for $4.41 OOP plus I did the Listerine deal as well so if I get the rebate it was a about a $50 moneymaker. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BOGO DOES NOT APPLY TO THE NEW NIVEA SPORT BODY WASH.
Can you please describe what you did so that we can get on this as well?
Thanks!
Where is the Nieva coupon
My Walgreens only accepted one coupon for the BOGO, but it was still a great deal! Thanks to Mercedes and the CSWM coupon fairy, I was able to get 18 bottles for better than free (I passed one coupon on to a man I saw looking at the body wash), since I won the coupons here last month! Thanks!
Boo hoo! I just came back from my walgreen’s and it did NOT ring up as BOGO free.
How is everyone else getting this to ring up at that price?????
It was only BOGO on the bottles that are all blue, not the ones with the orange writing at our store! I had printed $4 off 2 a week or so ago so made good $$$ on my 4 transactions! Luckily we have 4 Walgreens in town as the usually only let me do 1 or 2 transactions at a time!
Heyyy no fair! They’re not BOGO free here in Louisiana!
I didn’t get the $3/1 in my insert. Only $1/1 lotion in my 5/2 rp.
BOGO in Illinois on the all blue bottle. I use the 6 RR to buy 3 Neutrogena lip-Norwegian Formula- lip moisturizers, and got 10 RR back.
Where is the $3 off 1 coupon coming from…I don’t see it listed anyplace. I have about 3 Walgreen’s all within 30 minutes of my house…I would like to try this.
Where is the 3 dollar coupon? In which coupon insert is that?
Didn’t work for me at a Wags in the Houston area. Only received one RR.
Are all the nivea bodywash on this deal for the RR or just the new Active 3?
No BOGO for me. =(
I think the coupon is in the 5/2 RP
No BOGO in N. California
No BOGO or even a sale in CO.
Yes BOGO is working in Sheboygan thanks for the heads up!
Thank’s Ruby…I will look in my 05/02 RP ad for the coupon.
I knew about this before my store opened at 9am, so I went in and it worked! We did not get the $3 coupon in my area, so I ordered 40 over a month ago. The store manager ordered 40 bodywashes plus alot of extras because I told him that they were going to be popular.
I didnt know about this when I got to the register buut the cashier told me that they were b1g1 free if I still wanted the free one…so of course i went to pick it up.I was looking for it but that blue one was the last one on the shelf(and the only smell I liked so I asked if I could get the 4.99 nivea or a women one? They didnt knwo but they told me they hasa whole box of the sport one inside so they tried with that one and it didnt work..They gave me a raincheck for a free regular men nivea.I went to another walgreens to get the newspaper(the other one was out) and I see a whole shelf of them.So since I am very pregnant I tried to get it there and not wait for the other one to replenish. I was starting to explain with receipt on hand and the manager starting yelling at me that this was register mistake and they were going to fix it soon and that she needed to fix it manually every time and why “you people always want everything free” .I was so mortified my jaw dropped from embarrasment and surprise of how can a manager treat people like this!.
You should call the Walgreen’s corporate number and report that manager. I had a similar situation, not at “my” WAGS, where they all know me, and I reported it, and in turn found out that there were numerous complaints about the person, and that without customer complaints they have to have a VERY valid reason (theft, poor attendance record, etc.) to fire someone.
apparently he needs to get into a new line of work. If a manager speaks to a customer that way without any provocation it’s his/her issue. Rediculous! Don’t waste your time with people like that Lisette. You need to rise above the situation though you would think that the manager would be smarter than to take on a very pregnant woman…I was a wild raging bull when I was pregnant…treading on some very dangerous territory for sure!
Anyway…I checked my 5/2 redplum and there were no ads for Nivea body wash at all.
No BOGO in Iowa, but did get $6 RR.
I did not receive any Nivea coupons in my 5/2 RP either.
In my area we got $1.00 off coupons in the 4/25 RP.
No BOGO on the Spacecoast of Florida and the cashier wouldn’t let me buy two (in two separate transactions since I had 2 $3 cpns.) She said “the mgr said I could ony sell one to a customer”. I offered to leave the store and walk back in and she said she wouldn’t ring up a 2nd one for me no matter what I did. The mgr wasn’t there and I was on my way to church so I worked really hard at putting a smile on my face and being as pleasant as possible! My Walgreens is the worst with this sort of attitude. I went across the street to do the CVS deals and the ECB didn’t print on the ProGlide, I pointed that out and the cashier said “oh no problem, I’ll print it out for you, sorry about that!” and poof (!) I had the ECB’s. Such a difference in customer appreciation! I wouldn’t go out of my way to shop at Walgreens and only do the deals since it is on my way to CVS!
I had an unpleasant situation with a manager at my Walgreens on Sunday too. They didn’t ring up bogo so I asked the manager to return one and ring it in a separate transaction so I could get the $6 RR and I told him I forgot to use my $3 coupon with it. He swore up and down the register wouldn’t accept the coupon because I was already getting $6 back in RR and he started going on a tirad about how it’s not fair to other people that people like me buy things just to get a RR out of it and there’s none left for them. I told him Walgreen’s and the manufacturer make out of the deal and just ring it up and my family uses the product. I also told him we’ll see if the register will accept the coupon. I told my husband it’s not worth being hassled and I’m with you. I’m sticking with places like CVS who appreciate their customers and want my business.
I live in central MA & shop at 2 Walgreens – one in Worcester & one in Shrewsbury – the two stores are only a couple miles from each other. The BOGO is working at the Shrewsbury store, but it is not working at the Worcester store. So if it is regional, is still must be up to the manager’s discretion?
No BOGO for me in Central OH. The manager looked at me like I was crazy. I explained that it was posting all over the blogs in several cities in the country. He said “hmmm. no luck here!”. Oh well. Still used a BOGO MQ to get 2 free.
No BOGO in Chico, CA
Why do you have to add an inexpensive item? Why not just get the 2 body washes? Its no matter as I only have one coupon anyway. Just wondering.
Because the coupons combined were worth more then the item by $.01 you need to buy something else to cover the extra cost
