I am trying to decide if the $20 membership is worth it. I have never really shopped at Sams so I am not sure how much cheaper they are. Any shop there?? If so, do you think it is worth it or is it cheaper to get the smaller stuff at the grocery with coupons and stuff? Thanks!
Thank goodness for this deal! Does anyone know how to get the gift card? Will it just be mailed to you? Can you sign up for the membership online and still get the gift card or does it have to be in the store?
I have been a member of Sam’s Club a few times before. We always just let our membership run out and see how long we can go without having to go there. There are certain things that are great deals. A few things we ONLY usually buy from there are dog food (we get 50 lbs. for under $20), powdered sugar (I make a lot of cakes), fruit snacks, syrup, oil, goldfish crackers… I also use the click n’ pull option. This way I don’t have to walk around the big store with 2 cranky kids. I just stop in with my list of stuff that I preordered and they go get it out from the back for me… sooooo much easier.
I was having a hard time coping with the fact we had to spend $40 for a new membership so this is great news

Sometimes on the back of walmart ads is a 1-day shopping pass for Sam’s, or ask if you could look around. Go in, mark down some prices for items that you normally get and see if the savings would work out for you, when compared to the grocery store. I too get the big bag of dog food, 50 lbs. for $19 something and my awesome deal is Enfamil baby formula, 41 oz can for $33, basic price for formula is about $1/oz. Also there is a gas station at my Sam’s and is several cents cheaper than the are gas stations. I use Dove Sensitive Skin body wash, and there’s a 2 pack plus a travel bottle for $10 something and say at Walmart these are about $5/bottle but it’s a little better deal considering the travel bottle is decent sized.
