For example, if you buy a $30 backpack & have a $10 coupon, your Office Max reward will be $20. You can read the fine print at officemax.com (click on Max Perks in the middle of the page). It's still a good deal because you're reducing your current out-of-pocket amount as well as saving on the sales tax. If you have other items to purchase, you might want to split it into 2 transactions and use the coupon on the other items. That way you won't have the coupon "attached" to the backpack.
