Thanks Money Saving Madness!

Hi! I am Mercedes and this is my blog Common Sense with Money! Helping other people live better, spend less, and save more is something I am very passionate about. I combine simple frugal living tips and smart shopping techniques to help moms across the U.S. become better home economists. Thank you for visiting my blog.

I tried it when I got a sample in the mail – it really works just fine! I use Tide or era or whatever else sometimes. I also use Method sometimes or samples too. I didn’t notice any problems. It was really easy to use of course. I also have an energy efficient washer for those that care. The sheets smell REALLY strong in the packaging but my clothes didn’t come out smelling strong at all. I also gave a sheet to a friend and she liked them and wants a few more for travel.
I use these all the time, I love them. The only down side I have found to them is you can’t use them on the new washer because it’s to much soap. I have a friend who cuts them in half and still uses them. But I still have the old top loud washer and love the space I save from not having to buying three difforent products!
i use these all the time + really like them. i have a top loading washer but i still cut them in half + everything comes out clean!
We just got some for $1 at CVS and loved it! We used one on whites and the other on a dark load. It worked fine both times! I want to take advantage of more deals, because this is so easy and convenient for us!
My family loves to use them when traveling. I put as many as I think I’ll need for the trip in a large zipper-top bag (since the box tends to open in transit).
I also throw one in a separate zipper-top bag (that I’ve left partially unsealed) into the dirty clothes bag to keep the car or our bags smelling like dirty laundry:)
Thanks for the heads up on the deal!
I use them…they work fine. I have a top loading washer and I just throw the sheet in the washer and when that’s done just throw it in the dryer with the clothes. Pretty easy and it cleans as well as any other detergent.
I just looked these up online to find out how many sheets were in a package and it said there is a starter kit with a dispenser. What is the dispenser and do you have to use it?
Your “dispenser” is a plastic box. Then to be “green” the refills are in a plastic bag and you just put them in the box. No, you do not need it.
I have a top-loading washer and these work great. They clean the clothes as well as regular detergent, take up a lot less space, and leave clothes smelling great out of the dryer. This is an excellent deal, as they are usually really expensive!!
my college student finds them very convenient
I agree.
The dispenser is just the plastic box they come in. Apparently there are 24ct refills, although I haven’t seen them. I love these. I get them every time I can find them under $1. I stocked up big at .50 each awhile back ago at rite aid. I have like 20 20pks of them.
Thanks! I thought it sounded funny that it was listed as a dispenser on the website. It does say there is 24 pack refills which would be an even better deal. I’m going to go check out our Kmart and see what they have.
I love this stuff too.. I generally buy Sears laundry detergent since it has no fillers (or very little) and is VERY cost effective… but I was able to get ALOT of these for free at Rite Aid a few months back.. I love it.. and the price was even better.
I love this product as well! I have used them when we travel and at home when I am out of softener sheets and don’t want to have to buy more without a good deal. I have a few packs that I have put back for future use and was thrilled to see the $3/1 coupon in the newspaper last week.
I have used these before and while I was happy with the convenience, the cost does not justify using them all the time. Also I do not normally dry my clothes in a dryer but hang them outside to dry so the extra strip of anti-static doesn’t really work for me. But I do use them on trips to save space with clothes. I don’t mind doing laundry on vacation.
I READ THAT PEOPLE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS USING THESE WITH FRONT- LOADING WASHERS. ANYONE OF U HAVE ANY PROBLEMS?
I have a front load washer, and have had no problems. I only use these when I wash my husbands work clothes – jeans, shirts and tshirts. He works outside in the elements, and in the summer comes home quite “smelly”!
This is the best detergent I have found for getting out all the body odor and it leaves his clothes really clean – and smelling great!
I use these often. Whenever I have a coupon and they are on sale. I got them for my boyfriend, when he was an over the road truck driver.
opps.. i hit send and didn’t mean too. lol
He was able to use them to wash his clothes while out on the road. They took up way less space than two bottles of soap and softner.
I LOOOOVE them! I use other laundry detergents that I get for free for my “not so important” or “not so dirty” loads, and save these 3-in-1 sheets for the more important loads!
Oh, and I have a front loader, so it’s just plain easier to just throw the sheet in the washer, rather than pouring messy liquid in the detergent compartment AND having to add dryer sheets to the dryer.
My husband and I both LOVE these sheets and we prefer them over EVERYTHING. We both used to be Tide and Downy people but we made the Purex after using the 3-in-1 sheets. Everything comes out clean and static free. When I wash blankets, sheets, etc I add a couple extra Snuggle fabric softener sheets to the dryer to make the scent stronger
PS. If anyone is from the Chicagoland area, these are on sale at Ultra Foods for $2.50 until tomorrow!
