I think you may need to be Small Business owner to qualify for this offer. We will find out when the offer goes live I guess.

it only talks about shopping on small buisness saturday which is meant for people to shop at small buisnesses, not large corps like walmart so I see no reason that this is only for small buisnesses….
I don’t believe you need to be a small business owner but rather just shop at a small business to spend it.
From reading the article previously it seems that the cards are designed to be used only at small businesses and not major retailers.

I don’t think you have to be a small business owner. I think they are trying to drive home the idea that you take your “free” money and shop at a small business.
Where do you register for this? On the facebook page, it just says come back and register at 1pm eastern time, but I don’t see anywhere to actually register!

You have to be an American Express cardholder and it credits $25. to your monthly statement.
You need to register an eligible American Express card.. you spend $25 and you’ll get $25 back on the card you registered.

Okay, so someone posted a link on their “comments” section. You need a current amex credit card, so it isn’t a gift card, but if you register your credit card, they will give you a $25 credit if you spend that amount at a small business on that specified day. They should have been more upfront about needing an amex card, if you ask me!

Make sure the customer knows the balance on their Card before you swipe it. The balance can be easily obtained by phone or online; tell the customer to look on the back of their Card for details. They can also call American Express customer service at 800-297-7327.

There were two promotions. One for a credit if you have an amex and spend $25 on Nov. 26th at a small business. I signed up for that and hopefully it works because the other promotion was horrible. They had technical difficulties and I never got a page to load to even try for one. Thanks for the info though.
