    Mercedes,

I thought I had read somewhere that the hair dryer deal was only good on Monday, 12/22. That might need clarification.

    Thanks for the posts!

Thank you Valerie, I totally missed that.

Has anyone else but me had a complete lack of coupons in their sunday paper lately? I get the paper at home and then at work so I get 2 chances to get coupons, and lately all newspapers have had zero or minimal coupons in them. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

  • Andrea

I have had problems with coupons in the papers. I just signed up for home delivery, but the ones I was purchasing in the stores were missing the Red Plum and the P&G. I even started looking through papers before I bought them – Walgreens does the Sunday paper all week long, and there were no coupons in any of them! I called my paper and they had someone deliver the coupon insert because I was missing it.

Can you explain how the Walgreen’s Reach toothbrush deal works? I can’t seem to understand how you figure getting it free with overage. Here’s my figuring:

    2.99 x 2 = 5.98
    – BOGO coupon (2.99) = 2.99
    – In-ad coupon (2.00) = .99 for 2 toothbrushes

    Thanks,
    Nancy

    Hi Nancy,
    It would work like this
    $5.98 two Reach tooth brushes
-2.99 from buy one get one coupon
-4 deducted by in-ad coupon to bring individual price of toothbrush down to 99 cents each (2.99-2=0.99, so the coupon needs to deduct $2 for each toothbrush)
    =1.01 in overage.

    I hope that helps,

    Mercedes

Does anyone know where I can find the Pepsi coupon mentioned? I went to the link and flipped through the 2 screens and couldn’t find it…

Did anyone actually get the blowdryer. I went to 3 Walgreens and not one of them had one. They said “something to do with the manufactuer and couldnt keep up with the demand.” I thnk there is going to be alot of really mad customers. I called and they were nice about it but didn’t say what they were going to do about it.

My Wags manager allowed me to purchase this dryer…and had the register spit out a gift receipt – took my name and phone number – and wrote this on the gift receipt. I paid and got my RR and they will call me when it comes in! Win-Win!!!!!

No hair dryer for me either. I complained on the walgreens.com website. We’ll see what they say…

Ok, I was able to get a to Walgreens in time to get a few hair dryers. But I bought the Chicago Trib, and my local paper, this last weekend. There were NO coupons in it at all. They even had the middle section in plastic so no one can take anything out. So like what’s up, is this going to happen again? I paid $3 for one paper. I am new to this and this was the first time it happend.

I have to say that I did get a blow dryer. I went in about 8:30 Monday AM (My store opens at 7am). I didn’t think they would have one left but had to pick up my free 8 x 10 anyway. They were out of the blow dryers but an employee was calling around to find one for someone else and she found me one that they held till I could get there. Yipee! Christmas gift for my 12 year old.
