A good way to save money is by taking proper care of your car. But how funny is it that the people who seem to always be on top of their car’s condition sometimes lose track of their own health maintenance? Nearly 2,400 people die of heart disease every day. More women die of heart disease than the next five causes of death combined. That’s why Jiffy Lube is a proud supporter of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement. Right now through March 16th, more than 85% of Jiffy Lube Locations around the United States will participate in the Jiffy Lube Maintenance Partners for Life Campaign. This is almost 50% more than their goal last year. One hundred percent of all raised funds will support Go Red for Women initiatives.
You can make a contribution by donating $3 at participating service centers. When you do this, you will receive a Maintenance for Life Savings book with $100 in savings inside (see list of coupons below). You can also contribute by purchasing Jiffy Lube Gift Cards. You can buy these online or at participating locations, for each one you buy Jiffy lube will donate $1 to Go Red for Women. You can buy a gift card to pay for future services to your own car. I took the car check up but since I am a SAHM most of this seems excessive to me. I only drive about 6000 miles a year so to go in every 3 months would be ridiculous.

I took the car care test and learned a lot. My car is only 2 years old so I had been pretty lax about following the manufacturer’s schedule since I figured that was more for older cars. To my surprise many preventative measures need to be taken monthly or every 6 months. What a great eye opener. Thank you for the giveaway and the chance to learn something new!

Does the money really go to Go Red for Women, AND what is Go Red for Women doing with the money. The Breast Cancer Funds support Planned Parenthood! I don’t want to hurt anyones feelings, but we need to really watch were we put our money, is it really supporting what you intended?? I now I don’t want my money going to Planned Parenthood.
On the other hand, this coupon booklet sounds really cool and I’m praying the Go Red is beneficial, and not just another scheme.
Do we want our money “Raising Awareness. . . ” or do we want to feed the starving in our own towns, and across the ocean? Just something to be thinking about.
