Have You Tried Pick Up Today?

Back in November I introduced you to Pick Up Today from Walmart. With Pick Up Today you can order online and pick the item up at your own store the same day. Back then it was only in the Beta Stages but it has since been rolled out to all stores across the nation.

Here is how this works: For orders placed between 6am and 6pm, you can pick up on the same day and with orders placed after 6PM you can pick up by 10am the next day. Pick up times are from 10am-10pm. There is wide range of items that are included in this new feature, but to find the ones that are available for Pick Up Today at your own store look for the following tab when you shop online:

Plus you will also notice that below “Order Online” the item has “Pick Up Today” as available.

We recently had a unique situation to give this another whirl. Over Memorial Day weekend we traveled to visit family in another state.  We packed swim wear for the kids so they could enjoy the hotel pool.  But when we got there we realized that we should have also brought some pool toys.  I hopped online and was able to order a couple of inexpensive pool toys from Walmart.com in the morning.  They were available for pick up the afternoon of that day.  My husband just stopped by customer service where the toys were waiting for him.

I thought was was pretty neat.  Tell me how many times you have had shop for something you need while you are traveling and had to spend so much time wondering the aisles at a new store trying to find what you need.

This is a resource to consider if you are short on time and want to be in and out of a store in minutes.  I do have to tell you that not all items on the Walmart website are available for Pick up Today but there is a good number of them that is.

I am a participant in the Walmart Moms program. Participation in this program is voluntary. While I have been commissioned to test and write about this new service, all opinions are 100% my own. Please see my disclosure policy for more information.  Thank you for your support, as these types of posts help me cover the cost of free resources to you such as free couponing webinars.
