Kmart Super Doubles: Best Deals and Coupon Matches 8/16-8/22

Kmart Super Doubles: Best Deals and Coupon Matches 8/16 8/22

Are you excited about Kmart Super Doubles next week?  I am!!  I love Kmart Super Doubles!  I have spent a few hours rounding up over 85 of the best deals at Kmart for next week.  There are three catalina promotions going on and tons of coupon deals.

So, here are the quick and dirty details:

  • During Kmart Super Doubles, Kmart will double coupons with a face value up to and including $2.  This means that a coupon with a face value of $1 will double to give you savings of up to $2.  A coupon with a face value of $2 will double and provide you with savings of up to $4.  Coupons with a face value greater than $2 will not double at all.  Kmart won’t double your buy one get one free coupon or you FREE coupon.
  • Kmart will not provide overage when they double your coupons.  This means that if the value of the item is $3.50 and your coupon is for $2 face value.  The coupon will double to match the value of the item ($3.50) and nothing more.
  • Kmart started accepting internet printable coupons back in February.  In general, you should not have a problem getting your printable coupons doubled during this promotion.  However, it is always a good idea to check with your local store management.
  • You can double up to four like coupons at a time.
  • You can double up to 10 coupons total per person per day when you have a grocery/health&beauty purchase of $25 or more.  Honestly, I am not too concerned about this restriction because  it’s very easy to get your order to $25, I find.  This new $25 limit is BEFORE coupons are applied.

Other pointers for a successful Super Doubles Trip:

  • Be aware of coupons that are $x off two or more items.  Sometimes these coupons are not doubled up to the full value that they should.  For example, If you have a coupon for $1 off two items and the items are on sale 2/$3.  The coupon will only double up to $1.50.  This is a flaw of Kmart’s register system.  I usually still write my deals providing the full savings discount because I feel that it is up to you to have Kmart honor what they are advertising.  This is something that I would bring up to Customer Service if it happened to me.
  • Make sure the doubled coupon is applied to the right item or you may find that some coupons didn’t double to the value that they should.  I will give a simple example that happened to me:  I bought a Huggies Wipes tub and Huggies jumbo pack of diapers.  For some reason the coupon for the wipes doubled correctly to the amount it should, but the coupon for the diapers didn’t.  So, when the screen comes up for the cashier to select the item the coupon applies to, make sure that s/he selects the proper item.

Here are my favorite deals:

  1. Jenae says:

Can you use the coupons for your next purchase on another transaction that day? For example, if I do the Duracell deal idea, can I then turn around and use the $10 coupon for the Purex Complete deal idea and still get the $5 off coupon on that transaction?

  2. Jenae says:

And no promotions on diapers??? Bummer!!!

  3. Jenae says:

Also, go here (http://blogs.mykmart.com/coupons/) and then scroll down to “A Special Gift Just for You” (the second posting) to print off a $5 off $50 purchase without having to sign up for the e-mails! It’s good through 10/31/09. :)

    • Mercedes says:

      Hi Jenae,

Thanks for the coupon. I added your direct link to the post.
Also I hear you about the diapers. I am wasn’t sure if the diapers were part of the catalina deal since they are not included in the advertisement. So, please check in stores to make sure that they are tagged that way. if they are I will post about it on Sunday.

      Mercedes

  4. Becky says:

Jenae, thank you for the direct link to $5/50!! This will come in very handy!!

  5. Lana says:

I don’t think your duracell deal will work if your Kmart sticks to the rules like mine does. They will only accept four like coupons in a transaction. Bummer.

  6. Shannon says:

    Mercedes,

I just got word from Kmart on which PA stores will be participating!

  7. Andrea says:

    Jenae –

The Pampers are included in the P&G $10 if you spend $40 deal – that’s pretty simple to do with diapers! I’ll buy 4, plus a travel wipes container, use 4 $2 off coupons, and spend $14 after the catalina prints! Not bad for 4 packs of diapers!

Otherwise, Huggies are still eligible for the caregivers’ market place rebate ($1 per pack!)
And thanks for the hot $5 off!

  8. Pam says:

Thanks for doing all the work for us! I have really enjoyed your site over the last 6 months or so!

  9. Stacey says:

Will they simplly automatically double the coupons you use or is there a special ‘double coupon’ that we need?

  10. Laurie says:

I thought there was a rule that they wouldn’t double more than 4 like coupons in an order… so that would make the duracell battery deal a bust, right? Am I missing something?

  11. Andrea says:

Mercedes – They definitely are! I did this deal the last go-round of doubles at KMart about a month ago and got some wickedly cheap dipes this way. Definitely check it out! Wipes are also included. Any pampers item, actually… :)

  12. Bethany says:

My KMart isn’t doubling again. I’m trying not to be too jealous. I did want to point out that anyone who received the Kelloggs rice krispy coupons from Vocal Point should get a really sweet deal on the Kelloggs GC promotion. There was a coupon for a free box and several coupons for $1.00 off. (I believe there were five). You could use four of the $1.00 off coupons and pay $1.00 OOP and get back the $5.00 GC. Or you could use the free item coupon and three of the $1.00 and pay $.75 OOP and get the $5.00 coupon. :D

  13. Bethany says:

I might use these at my KMart even though they aren’t doubling…without doubles it’s $3.50 OOP and get a $5.00 GC! Pretty sweet still.

  14. Gretchen says:

Does anyone know if they carry seventh generation cleaning products and their price range? There’s a $1 off coupon for their products and they might be pretty cheap if Kmart’s prices are reasonable.

    • Mercedes says:

      Hi Gretchen,

I am not sure if they carry seventh generation. I know they carry Green Works. But maybe someone else has noticed them, I just can’t recall. Also and hate to say this but Kmart is not reasonable withh their prices unfortunately.

      Mercedes

  15. Andrea says:

I haven’t seen them at mine…you’re best going to Walmart for that brand. KMart’s only reasonable on some mainstream things like Lysol… :(

  16. Angie says:

Axe Shower Gel is on sale for $4.29 – $1.50 IP = $1.29

The last round of doubles I asked the cashiers at my K-Mart if they were enforcing the 10 coupon limit and they said NO. So you may want to ask BEFORE you shop.

  17. Andrea says:

Yep, same went for my store too! However, I do try and keep it to no more than 20 coupons – with that silly touch screen they have to use, it can really slow your order down if you have 40+ coupons….they didn’t complain at all though! But I still felt bad. ;P

  18. Lisa Hazleton says:

    spend $25
    on participating
    Procter & Gamble
    favorites get a
    $5 coupon
    for your next
    Kmart shopping trip!
    or spend $40
    and get a
$10 coupon!* This is on the flyer that you have on your site. The asterisk at the bottom of the (flyer) page shows which items are participating for the $5. That’s the way it looks to me. I also read Kmart will only take 4 of the identical coupons. I was really liking your idea of the batteries. If you see that I’m wrong please let me know. I am just trying to be helpful.
*Applies to Gain 63–80-load powder or 48–64-load liquid; Cheer 80-load powder or 52–64-load liquid; Downy 48–52-load; Charmin 24 regular, 12 big or 6 mega rolls; Bounty 8 regular or 6 big rolls. Coupon prints at checkout. Limit one

  19. Sharon says:

Does anyone have the link for the $5 off $20 toy coupon? I’d really appreciate it if someone could help me out. I had a blonde moment and have no idea where the ones I printed out are:)

  20. Alicia says:

i cant find the kelloggs deal in my ad…how do you know it’s still going on? i think i heard about it late last year/earlier this year. are there shelf signs?

  21. Kathryn says:

I went this morning and the duracell are NOT included in the P&G promotion for the $10 OYNO. I purchased 7 and it would not print even when they tried without using any coupons, only the ones mentioned in the above postare included thanks to Lisa (I copied it for reference)
*Applies to Gain 63–80-load powder or 48–64-load liquid; Cheer 80-load powder or 52–64-load liquid; Downy 48–52-load; Charmin 24 regular, 12 big or 6 mega rolls; Bounty 8 regular or 6 big rolls. Coupon prints at checkout. Limit one

    • Mercedes says:

      That’s weird Kathryn,

I have a scan a reader sent me with all of the products included and the Duracll brand is listed. No idea why it wouldn’t be working.

      Mercedes

  22. Sheri says:

The 5/$50 coupon says it’s applied after all other discounts. Does that mean your total has to be over $50 AFTER you use all the coupons?

  23. Erin says:

am I missing something? on your list you have coupons out of a Kmart savings boolet. I thought Kmart coupons weren’t doubled?? or did I read that wrong?

  24. amy says:

Franklin Tennessee is not participating in the double per store manager.

  25. mommy308 says:

I just got back from Kmart a little bit ago and my original total was $148.89. After all of my coupons (I asked the cashier and she said it didn’t matter how many I used but they would only double up to $2) and I had several,I ended up paying $12.83 for a savings of $136.06! Yay! I also picked up 4 of the trio toys for Christmas gifts. Thank you for always giving us such a great list to work off of. You hard work is very much appreciated! :)

  26. Jenae says:

The Duracell batteries are NOT included in the P&G promotion…after convincing the store manager to let me show it to her on the website (45 minutes later)…they are not included. Also, Pampers products are not included either. Someone else said that they were, but they aren’t!

  27. Lana says:

Just a word of caution…. I had the $5 off $50 Kmart reward coupon and the free cotton swabs when you spend $20 Kmart reward to use. She scanned the free swabs one first, and then the $5 off one wouldn’t go through. I thought it was because my total went below $50 when she scanned the swabs. She said she thought it was because you can’t use two Kmart rewards coupons in the same transaction. But she was new, so she called over a manager. The manager said you can’t use the $5 off $50 with coupons since it says, “cannot be combined with any other coupon” or something like that. (I KNOW that isn’t true.) I didn’t fight it because I had my toddler with me, and plus I was getting over $50 in stuff for $5.81 (on a gift card no less), so still a good deal. But I did get a few things that I don’t really NEED (freebies) to get over the $50 mark in order to use the $5 off to cover my items that weren’t freebies (I would have paid 81 cents instead). Oh well. Just be careful. I tend to think it was because I tried to use two kmart rewards coupons. If I had been watching closer, I would have had her scan the $5 off first. (I even asked her to cancel the other one and use the $5 one, but she said she couldn’t redo it.)

  28. Jen says:

Where is the con agra (hunt’s etc) deal advertised? I spent $20 on those brands yesterday and thought a rebate form was supposed to print out but didn’t. I’d like to have a copy of the advertisement when I go to customer service. Thanks!

  29. Brian says:
