My Neighbors are Frugal Too

I took this picture from our sunroom yesterday afternoon. However, it is not the first time I see my neighbors hanging their clothes out to dry.

This is one of the reasons I don’t do the same though:

They are building a home nearby. The last thing I need is construction dust on my newly laundered clothes.

I started using a clothesline about a month ago — the dryer hasn’t been used since : ) My husband put up an Amish-type clothesline using a pulley. I don’t even have to move off the back porch : )

    Hi Karen!
The sun is the best dryer out there. I also love that it gets rid of stains and smells and it’s all free!

I wish I could do that too, but I’d have tree sap and bird poo on mine! I thought about putting a small line up in my screened porch area, so we’ll see…I just couldn’t use it in the spring because of pollen! I’m not sure I could put up a clothes line anyway because of subdivision restrictions. It’s a nice idea though.
