I was just there yesterday and they have a display with $5.00 off coupons(tearpad) when you buy 3 participating products.
buy 2 4 packs expo dry erase markers (on sale 2/$5.00)
buy 1 4 pack of sharpie yellow highlighters (on sale for $1.00)
    Use $5.00 off coupon

total out of pocket $1.07. I did the deal twice

It’s not free when you have to buy something else. You have BOGO and B2G1 categories, why not put the 4 “free” items (besides the backpack) where they belong.

For those that did the backpack deal last year, how does it work? Is the Maxperks a mail in rebate? Or how will I get my money back from the purchase?

    • Peanutkla,
I did this deal last year. The Maxperks rewards come in an email ( at least for me, may come as in the mail for some). they are a voucher that you can use at Office Max only. it is not like getting a check for cash back. But you can roll them from one quarter to the next and that’s what I have been doing. Just keep buying the free after rewards items.

Ok, b/c on the Maxperks site it makes it look like I have to spend $500 in the next 5 months to get a $25 reward. So I was thinking that I won’t get the $30 or so that I’d spend on a bag.

        • That’s an additional incentive program. It doesn’t apply to this.

  • Kristi

Is it true that you won’t get the MaxPerks Bonus rewards if you pay with MaxPerks Bonus Rewards? In other words, you can’t really “roll” them like at drug stores?

    • Kristi,
I have been rolling maxperks rewards for a year at least. So it CAN be done.
