Rite Aid’s Coupon Policy Available Online

rite aid coupon policy

A couple of weeks ago Rite Aid updated their coupon acceptance policy.  I just wanted to share with you that this coupon policy is available online on the Rite Aid website and available for you to print.

I am loving that Rite Aid has addresses a few issues clearly on their policy such as:

  • We accept two coupons for the purchase of two items that are on Buy One, Get One Free Promotion.
  • We accept a Buy One, Get One Free Coupon with an item that is in our flyer as Buy One, Get One Free, meaning both items are free. The cash register will compute any sales tax due, which varies by state law.
  • More than one coupon can be used on the purchase of a single item.

To access this copy on the Rite Aid website just visit the “In Our Stores” tab and scroll down to the bottom. You will see the link to the pdf file with this coupon policy.

So I was wondering what is your interpretation/understanding of the part about “We accept two coupons for the purchase of two items that are on Buy One, Get One Free Promotion.”

Monday my Rite Aid store manager told me I could buy 2 items with 2 BOGO coupons and get both items for free..

Then Wednesday he said we could only do this when Rite Aid had a BOGO sale. So we could buy 2 items, use 1 BOGO coupon, and get both items for free….

So now we are totally confused! We called corporate and got 3 different answers. What do you think??

  • You can download a $1 off coupon for Viactive (exp. 12/31/10) at http://www.viactiv.com to pair with the $3 off coupon in this week’s flyer. Not sure if that makes them cheaper than Rite Aid brand or not but I’ll find out soon!

So glad you posted this, a cashier was giving me a hard time about my internet coupon saying they cant adjust an internet coupon if they’re is an overage… she said they just wont take the coupon! She said it was in the riteaid coupon policy…what a liar! Sick of cashiers acting like us couponer are criminals!

Yay! Finally, a printed policy! I just had a problem this week with the cashier refusing to take the pepsi manufacturer BOGO and the Rite Aid BOGO coupons. Of course, I guess the policy still doesn’t specifically address that issue (only the issue of a BOGO sale listed in the flyer). I can also see room for problems with Rite Aid saying they will adjust the value of a coupon down to the sales price (also had that problem this week with the Gain), and then saying in the next section that they will accept more than one coupon provided “the total of the coupons is equal to or less than the selling price of the item before sales tax” (makes it questionable whether they will adjust down the coupon if you are using more than one coupon for an item).
