He’s survived a lot the last ten years including losing his wife and having a heart problem that put him in a coma for almost a month among other things. I think he’d really like getting a gift to spend on himself, instead of spending it on his two girls.

The local hero that I would suprise with this gift card would be my mother in law. She works at the crisis pregnancy center in town, has cared for her sick husband for a couple of years now, and has her daughter, son-in-law and their two adopted kids living with her in their SMALL house. She has a really hard and stressful job and gets no time to herself at home. I am already planning on suprising them on Grandparents Day on 9/12 with a romantic homemade (by me!) dinner at our house all to themselves. But we don’t have the money to buy them any gifts, so I would use the gift card to get them a gift to make that day even more special for them.
