My mom went to Target to try this at 11am today. She only paid $3.46 for 3 bars of Olay and 3 cans of Satin Care. She said she had no problem at the register. I went after work today to the same Target (at 4:15pm) and the cashier would not accept it. She told me she could give the Olay bar for free but not the Satin Care. She called the manager over (always love when they do that), and the manager read the coupon out loud and it clearly says “buy one body wash, bar, or hand and body lotion and get the Satin Care Shave gel for FREE (up to $3.99)”. But she still said no, that it was not valid on the travel size bar of Olay. I tried to argue, but she just kept saying no. This Olay bar is the same size as the regular 3-pack Olay bars (3.5oz each) so I don’t get it, as it’s not actually a “travel size”, it is just sold individually. I only had 2 coupons, but I ended up paying $4.31 for the 4 items. Not bad overall, but I paid more for the 4 items, than my mom paid for 6. So I guess it’s YMMV depending on your cashier and your Target.

Call target cooperate and let them know also go back to the store and ask to speak to the store manager, if they refuse to honor it then ask for the regional manager because they should take it. Target has nothing in its coupon policy that states they can’t accept that type of coupon. So ask for the regional so you can “verify” Target’s Coupon Policy. They gave me problems with the Old Spice b1 product get 1 spray free, but they ended up taking it after I told them its not in their policy and that I wanted to verify the policy with the regional manager.

I used this coupon at Wal Mart. My stores do not carry the the single Olay bars, but they do carry the small bottles of body wash in the travel section. At first the cashier said I do not think this is going to work. She scanned the coupon and the shaving cream price subtracted without her entering it. This might be an option if you cannot find the bars and do not live near a target.

I had the same problem at my Target. The cashier would not take my coupons for the Olay travel size soap and the shaving gel. She argued with me for around 15 minutes and like always again- She called the Front end leader and would refuse to give it to me. This pisses me off! I’m going back and I’m going to try it again, this time if they say something I’m going to get the bigger man in the picture.

I went to Target and boy was I nervous! I tried the transaction with 4 of the coupons and it was fine. No managers or anything called over. What I am learning is, it’s best to find the (I don’t care about this stupid job, I’m just waiting to get paid) cashiers and this will make life easy. I’m sorry to say, but I hate going to women cashiers! They get upset when they see another woman keeping a few extra dollars in her pocket. I am going back today to do the transaction again, hopefully second time is a charm. Fingers Crossed!

I don’t understand why, but I totally second the women cashiers. Youngish guys are my pick, not because I’m being shady, but because I don’t feel like I’d being judged for saving a dollar or two.

*second NOT going to women cashiers.
